“The Hotel was great. We arrived around 8pm and did not have an evening meal but breakfast was fantastic. Room was spotless and had recently been refurnished to a high standard. Access was via a steep staircase so anyone with mobility issues may struggle. The only criticism was that the hotel is located on a very busy road junction so traffic noise continued all night and many large noisy lorries using the road. “When I booked for myself and grandson six ,I wasn't made aware that our "hotel room" was just a block of rooms at the bottom of a road near the entrance. These were unmanned and the key had to be collected from the main reception. This is no easy fete when there's a very steep long hill to walk up to reception. I was told our room was ready,we went down to it,expecting staff to meet us. None were there. So I and my little grandson had to walk back up to reception with a suitcase and rucksacks...

“Considering this was supposed to be a 4 star Radisson hotel, we were bitterley disappointed, the bed had springs that dug into your back, the sink in the bathroom was chipped and cracked, food overpriced, the sash window wouldnt open, water marks on the wall as well as a large crack down the wall, very very poor, the pool is always laned off and you have to wear a swim cap, not thequality id expect, we left after one night”

“We welcomed the useful car park with my daughter’s pending wedding and ease of access to town. Room was clean but very hot although fan was provided but noisy overnight and didn’t rotate & only one window opened - Despite this and noisy guests in proximity - everything else was good. Breakfast and staff were helpful and especially at breakfast the staff member was pleasant and I noted took time to talk to guests and was very amenable. Thank you for a good stay prior to wedding. 😊”

“Lovely hotel, fantastic location. Well decorated, comfy twin room but disappointingly, in the annex. Not in the main hotel. IMO, on the expensive side. £500 2 x nights, especially as it was 'room only'. Also, hardly any parking on site. Forced to park in public car park.My fault. Should have paid more attention when booking.”

“We stayed at the Pilsley Inn for one night to see Chatsworth on our way to Manchester. The pub food and service were great. We had 2 meals (dinner and breakfast) and both service and food were really very good. Servers and staff were attentive and hospitable. The location is also excellent. We stayed in Dunsa in the main building and unfortunately felt a bit catfished by the room considering the price (~$280 USD.) “One night stay, room(plum porter) much bigger than photos , clean comfy and in keeping with the building. Staff very friendly, beer spot on food good. We didn't want breakfast as we were going for lunch, just. Suited us. Lovely little village, church peaceful, sound of the bells chiming, like going back in time.
