I travelled with my 2 year old daughter. The bedding was absolutely filthy. Hairs, stains of unknown bodily fluids, some looked very much like blood. I’m not entirely sure they had actually been changed after the last occupants of the room left as it didn’t smell great. The bedding was changed after I asked. The rooms are In serious need of renovation. Very outdated, damaged, worn, unpleasant to be in and had a musty old smell to them. Carpet damage in places. Bedside lamp had old blood on. Walls had marks all over. Bed was incredibly uncomfortable. Both myself and daughter had bug bites after only an hour of being in the room. The breakfast was lovely, not greasy and good quality ingredients. The staff were all lovely. It’s just a shame the room was so filthy and unpleasant.

This is a nice comfy hotel. We stayed bed and breakfast, which was cooked really nice . The staff are lovely, helpful and friendly. It maybe a little old fashioned but it was a really nice and comfortable along with being good value for money, and we will definitely be back.

The hotel is definitely in need of a refurbishment but it is in an ideal location on the High Street and only a few minutes walk to Bala Lake. All the staff were helpful and friendly, especially Tony, the chef, who cooked us a lovely breakfast too. All in all, we had a lovely short break here.
