Quite a nice place for the price. Big room with a balcony, good restaurant, minutes from the beach. Different types of outlets in the room so you don’t need a converter. Male staff members trying to chat you up are very annoying, so maybe not the most ideal for solo female travelers.

The room was in really poor condition. Everything from the fridge not working, the light, the water an so on. The cleaning staff was really nice tho. Worst of all, the woman in the reception scammed us for 2500 dalasi so that was unpleasant

Family trip

We traveled down to Gambia to attend a funeral seremoni and chose to stay at cape point hotell since that was familiar to us and the first hotel we ever stayed at in Gambia! It was a good choice! We lived next to family in Bakau and were well taken care off by the staff! They were there whenever we needed help and they were very supportive and service minded during our entire stay! All in all a good trip with a lot of new friends! We will definately be back! ☺️

Personalen var mycket tillmötesgående, både vid färre problem med bl.a kylen som stannade vid ett tillfälle. Lokalvårdarna var helt ok. Restaurangen var också helt ok. Poolen sköttes också helt suveränt av en person som älskade sitt jobb vid samtal.

Detta är ett hotell med samma pålitliga personal återkommande varje år. Du kan känna dig fullkomligt trygg. En nästan egen sandstrand utanför hotellet där hotellpersonalen bär ner solsängen till dig varje morgon. Rummen är lite slitna men rena! Jättesköna sängar!Trevligt poolområde!

In reality the hotel is about half of what you see in the pictures! Breakfast was disappointing to say the least, we ended up going next door to Ocean Bay hotel and for $10/person we had a real breakfast with real coffee and great service! Room was spacious... nice too have the little appointment but beds are HARD! Never again!

Et meget slidt hotel med små lurved materialer. Ildelugtende rum med slidt og gulnet sengetøj. Anmasende og appellerende medarbejdere både i receptionen, restaurant og servicepersonale. Meget lidt plads i poolområdet, som samtidigt kalder på bedre rensning og orden. Beliggenheden er god i forhold til interessant strandområde, ofte stærke bølger, da Atlanterhavet og Gambiadlodens udmunding møde der.

Cape Point Bakaussa

Cape Point on paikalliseen tasoon verrattuna hyvätasoinen hotelli. Se on suhteellisen pieni ja intiimi sekä hyvin hoidettu ja johdettu. Hotellialue on toki jo melko vanha, mutta se on piedetty hyvässä kunnossa. Ravintolan hinnat ovat hiukan liian kalliit tasoon nähden, mutta eivät kohtuuttomat. Palvelutaso on ok. Hotellissa on pieni allasalue ja ranta. Vieressä on alueen paras hotelli ja vastapäätä sekä lyhyen matkan päässä ravintoloita sekä paikalliskojuja. Bakau on Gambian kehittynein kaupunki ja sähköt ja vesi toimii yleensä. Wifi ei toimi aina. Bakau on mukava sekoitus turismia ja paikallista elämää. Roskien määrä ja yleinen ränsistyneisyys kaikkialla Gambiassa voi yllättää. Turistien on syytä olla myös hyvin tarkkana rahojen kanssa, huijaus on valitettavan yleistä kaikkialla.

Det "riktiga" Gambia

Cape Point hotel- ett litet enkelt hotell med Allt du behöver och med fantastisk personal.Ligger vid stranden men ändå mitt i byn Bakau. Nära fina möten med människor, musik, mat ,kultur. Rätt plats för dig som vill lära känna och bli en del av det"riktiga" Gambia.De senaste 10 åren (1till 2ggr per år) har jag alltid bott på Cape point hotel, och aldrig blivit besviken.
