Price quality just so so
Good maintained hotel. But be careful when taking taxi. Most drivers won't go up the hill to the lobby. Water pressure almost non existing and in toilet you cannot flush toilet paper due to missing water pressure.food in restaurant is good! Overall price quality ratio not worth it of the hotel. Just the view, peacefulness and friendliness of staff made the stay just ok.
Our stay at Marquis Sunrise Sunset Resort was absolutely fantastic, and June deserves a huge shoutout for making it extra special! June took us around Bohol, showing us the most breathtaking spots with such professionalism and care. His knowledge of the island and ability to tailor the experience to our preferences made our trip unforgettable. Every moment with him was well-planned and stress-free – we couldn’t have asked for a better guide!
The resort itself is a gem – serene, beautiful, and relaxing. The views are stunning, and the atmosphere is perfect for anyone looking to unwind. On top of that, the team at Marquis Sunrise Sunset made us feel so welcome. A special shoutout to Christian and Vince for their exceptional service and friendliness throughout our stay. Your warmth and hospitality added the perfect touch to an already amazing experience.
We can’t wait to come back and would recommend this resort to anyone visiting Bohol. Thank you to the entire team for making our vacation unforgettable!
This was a wonderful surprise, a hotel on top of a hill overlooking the ocean in southern Bohol. The staff was great, the food very good, the swimming pool refreshing and the cottages very well designed. A little bit out of the way, but an excellent option if you want tranquility.
Spectacular views and very private. Overall nice hotel and decent food. Beware a lot of lizards. There was a really big lizard that would watch us shower. They are harmless but it was still creepy. Also, lock all your personal or expensive belongings.
If you prefer to escape the busy city of bohol and would like to relax with a nice view. This is the place to be. Everything you need is here.
Not recommended if you would be going out and bout in the city cause the location is a bit far and travel is a bit scary cause of the roads.
The pictures cant do justice to the beauty of this paradise! This place is gorgeous!! It’s no 5 stars but if you like privacy, enjoying alone time or appreciate the view overlooking the forest onto the water, this is your spot! The only down fault on this, there’s no sign that was pointing out to the hotel. We ended in a backroad in the back of the country side. The texi driver took awhile to find it. When I got there I wasn’t sure If this was the place. Beside that, it’s clean, it’s quiet, it’s amazing, wish I was able to stay longer to do fun activities like going to the beach and doing tours.

Good stopover for a night.
This place is at the top of a rather steep driveway that our driver refused to drive up. It has a nice pool and great views , the rooms are old and not very clean but comfortable enough for a night. What amazed me was the food , I wasn’t expecting much but it was very good , Thai chicken curry was the best.
Great location up the hills with marvelous views and friendly personnel ! The cottages are spacious and have beautiful view on the valley, the sea and the sunset !
The personnel is quite friendly and helping a lot for visitors comfort !
Better cleaning will Be more appreciated for sure !
I will return to this hotel and resort in baclayon on Bohol island !
Location: Picture perfect views, sunrise & sunsets. A bit out of the way so make this your first or last stop.
Facilites: Pool & Jacuzzi a plus! Very relaxing. Have your choice of Filipino style home cooked meals, limited to what's available but can also make arrangements. Loved the private cottage for two (somewhat on a cliff) with a balcony that opens at the foot of your bed!
Misc: I was able to arrange a complimentary pick up and drop off (promo) which was excellent, as it's hard to get to.
Ambience: Perfect for couples and people who want to unplug and seek a little peace & quiet.
Hotel staff went out of the way to ensure that we not only had a great stay at the hotel but also a memorable visit to Bohol. Marquis is an outstanding and super friendly place to stay in Bohol.
The place is kind of remote, but the views are gorgeous, it's very quiet, the food is great, and the staff very friendly. Great for a couple of days away from everything.
The hotel is located on top of a hill and as a result you get staggering views of the island. We loved watching sunset from the infinity pool (which was very well maintained). The rooms were beautifully decorated - much more tasteful than other similarly-priced hotels we've stayed at in the Philippines. Loved the outdoor shower! We thought that the bed could be more comfortable but that's our only complaint about the place. The staff were very nice and accommodating. The food iwas made-to-order and tasted great.
First, I would like to say the hardware is not as good as a regular hotel. And due to the location, there are a lot mosquitos. But we are very well treated here. The food is home made style. and can be ordered from fresh market. Margarita(the owner) is an elegance lady with a French taste. The price is never too expensive. with the sun set from the pool, it is fantastic...
