Apartment was comfortable. The alet and stairs up to it were awful and could have been improved with a clean or a paint. Beds were comfortable. Just needed some general upkeep done on it, skirtings cleaned and painted, hole in bathroom wall filled. Everything you needed for a weekend away but not done to my standard.

Beautiful spacious 2 bed flat. Everything you need for a home away from home. Close to amenities. Very easy to access on arrival. No need to meet someone to get keys. Would recommend. Only thing I would add is to request WiFi password. I couldn’t find it in the book that gives you the information of surrounding area or written down somewhere. Maybe I just couldn’t see it.

Charming apartment in the center of town, close to excellent pubs and dining. Extremely helpful host who was willing to do whatever it took to accommodate our travel plans. We would return in a heartbeat to explore more of what Ayr and the surroundings have to offer.

Really lovely property, felt like a home away from home and had everything we needed. The stairs are quite steep so just something to consider if you have any additional access needs.

Centrally located apartment

Nice apartment in a central location close to plenty of restaurants and bars. Excellent communication from the host prior to stay. Entryway very dark in the evening, but don't be put off, a perfect spot for a stay in the centre.

Comfortable inside but not getting there.

Everything is described, except that no photos or mention of the 27 concrete curving stairs with no banister at the top of the first subset of stairs. Also very difficult to locate through a rundown narrow alley between two buildings. We ended up going up to the first staircase and almost entered someone’s home accidently. Parking and carrying luggage could also be considerable problem for most people but we were fortunate enough to snag a spot right in front as someone was leaving. Otherwise it would be quite a journey to get luggage of any kind to the flat.

We never got into the apartment because the stairs were too steep, too narrow, very worn, and the access areas were filthy. Also our attempts to reach the key safe were perilous. Because of safety concerns, (I am 78 years old) we went to a hotel in town. I asked the owner for a refund, but he has ignored me.
