Charming hotel in the perfect location! Will dream of coming back! The view out of our window was the papal palace. The quietest hotel room I have ever stayed in even though it is city center. I am sure that was because of the cut stone walls. The breakfast buffet was good and worth the price. But there are plenty of dining options within easy walking. Our train was leaving later in the day so they were happy to hold our luggage after we checked out. Our stay really was perfect!

Fantastic location and warm welcoming staff. We had a wonderful view of the palace entrance, which was only a 30 second walk away. Everything you would typically want in a room was already there without having to ask the staff. Beds were comfortable, including the pull-out couch. Plenty of coffee in the room.

Enjoyed our stay. We rented two rooms One was newly remodeled Ours was older but freshly done up with beamed ceilings. So fun to be in a quaint historic building above a restaurant. Parking was easy and elevator delivered us in front of Palais des Papes a short walk to our hotel .

Amazing to be directly acros from the Palais des Papes with the view from our window onto the Place d’Horloge in such a charming historic building. Just getting to and from the parking is a tiny bit challenging, but given the location, the history and the age it is very well organized.

We fell in love with this charming hotel and the lovely staff that worked there! They made every effort to make us comfortable and welcomed. The location is amazing. Yes there were light bulbs out and the air conditioning was broken but we survived it and slept with the windows open, laughing at the early morning noise. The charm of the hotel won us over completely. You do need to know to park at the Palais des Papes parking lot and travel light as you have to drag your luggage across the cobble stones. There is a classic old European elevator. Travel light. The servers at the restaurant downstairs, however, were rude. Everyone else was delightful! I’d go back again!

The hotel is at the heart of Avignon, couldn't be better situated. It's a beautiful building in sand stone and has this Middle Ages and Gothic feel. Staff was very friendly, the cuisine was ok. The food was good and tasty, the menu I found a bit boring. The hotel lacks maintenance however. The lift didn't work, no batteries in the remote, no light in the gangway, there was AC but a very noisy mobile model. There is no bar, and no vending machine either. At 22h, everything is closed in Avignon. Everything was clean though, the water in the shower warm and the internet good. All in all, I had a good stay.

Not to be repeated!

Good position, but we had a small back room onto a back yard with erratic lighting and broken louvre into the bathroom. Eccentric breakfast arrangements. NO WARNING that access was restricted by a market, so that it took nearly half an hour to unload, one of us hovering illegally, the other wheeling cases. WORST OF ALL: we asked for a taxi for next morning, which wasn't ordered. The attempt by the office to book another failed repeatedly and we had to walk half a mile to another station to get to the TGV station we wanted a taxi to. We only just made it.

The room is large and was clean. The bed linens were very worn and the coverlet would disintegrate when touched. The shower only had warm water at night, but was hot in the morning. positif : l'emplacement exceptionnel de l'hôtel en plein centre ville, en face du palais des papes, les deux personnes que j'ai rencontre à la réception le soir et le matin était très très gentille, le petit-déjeuner est plutôt simple mais bon, le bâtiment est ancien est à beaucoup de charme (pierre dans les chambres au mur, douche en pierre, poutres dans la salle du petit-déjeuner etc) négatif : les chambres sont très mal insonorisées (je pense que c'est en partie du au bâtiment ancien et que les rénovations sont compliquées à cause des normes), j'entendais mes voisins parlaient et ça m'a réveillé dès 8h/8h30 le matin, trace noire bizarre dans les toilettes de manière globale je recommande l'établissement et j'ai quand même passé un excellent séjour
