This B&B is a perfect gem. The historic building dates back to medieval times and features original stonework, including a clock tower which overlooks the delightful garden courtyard which is beautifully designed with flowering plants, fruit trees and intriguing sculpture. The original artwork featured throughout the property, guest rooms included, adds elegance and spirit. Patrick and Sabine could not be more kind, welcoming and attentive hosts. The breakfast is delicious, including homemade quiche, fruits, yoghurt, fromage, cold meats, patisseries and fresh bread - and they go out of their way to adjust to your preferences. Our bedroom also contained a small kitchen area, including a fridge, small hob and coffee machine, with equipment, so it was possible to self cater on the evenings when we preferred to have a light supper rather than eating. La Maison des Augustins is an oasis of calm and delight in the centre of Avignon, just a few steps away from some authentic cafes and bars, and of course from the wonderful musées and historic buildings of this beautiful city.
