The staff is amazing! They took great care of us during our stay on the island. The room was quiet and very peaceful. It is an older hotel, but one I would stay at again. Unless you’re looking for top amenities, this is a solid choice.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel location is great. The price also was fantastic.The hotel is very old and the walls are thin. So the rooms are small, the plumbing is not the greatest, and you can hear the TV through the wall from the next room. They also do not have air-conditioning. However, we did not need the air-conditioning at all on our trip. They do have community balconies at the front of the hotel on all three levels that has a nice ocean view. Overall, we had a great stay, especially for the price.

There is absolutely a dated charm to this spot - while aged, the entire property is clean, well cared for, and for the price, it's unbeatable in its location to downtown Avalon. Room was clean, there was hot water, and the bed was one of the most comfortable I've slept in. Absolutely recommend for a few nights on the island.

A delightful stay

The ocean view was lovely. Short walk into town. Quiet and slept very well. We did not need the AC, the weather was perfect. The hotel is over 100 years old hotel and decorated old Victorian. The service was excellent and the rooms were very clean.
