Rooms are a little dated, however the location is ideal for exploring Avalon. Vons grocery store is 2 minute walk, so very convenient. The courtyard seating is good for having snacks, wine and card games.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The grounds and patio are beautiful, and the location is perfect! It's a very short walk to the grocery store, and we could walk to the shops and restaurants on the waterfront very quickly. And yet it was just far enough so that we had it quiet on the hotel grounds. A perfect balance! Staff were friendly and helpful as well.

We had room 11 which was quite quaint and comfortable. Though no direct view of the ocean, the front terrace did and we enjoyed our morning coffees from there! Enjoyed too the colorful whimsical mosaic tiling throughout the courtyard which gave it a beautiful Mexican charm! Location of walking convenience to all of Avalon! Staff were very gracious as well. I love simple, cute, and cozy and this place was all that and more. It's an older cottage style room with a kitchen. Nothing luxurious but adorable. The bed was so comfortable and the bedding was fresh and clean. The patios have grills and lots of sitting areas. We will definitely come back.

We stayed 5 nights at La Paloma Las Flores and it was perfect. We had a patio and kitchen in our unit (#14) which was the plan so we could make our Thanksgiving dinner and enjoy on the patio. And during the day the patio was very relaxing to sit in the sun and zone out. Staff and Owner were a pleasure to talk to. Property is one block away from Vons, so super easy to pick up snacks/meals. Everything was clean and no issues. It was a wonderful place to stay for our family vacation.

We found La Paloma Las Flores to be a charming, quiet place to stay. It's a bit of a walk uphill to get there from the waterfront, but it is very close to Vons and my husband (who has difficulty walking any distance) was able to use the local "Circuit" to get around for $4 per ride - and they pick you up and drop you where you want! The host was very accommodating to our needs.
