“Breakfast and service was excellent but the room was severely lacking in storage. The wardrobe had a hanging rail too high for most women to reach and there was no other place to put other clothes, or flat surface for the usual items. Hopefully this will be addressed in an otherwise pleasant hotel”

“Excellent location near Lancaster, just off M6. Lovely pub, lovely breakfast too. Plenty of parking. Compact room, neat, tidy, good supplies. Comfortable bed. Tea & coffee makings & small kettle. Only issue was room was really hard to ventilate, so was very warm (good for winter tho!)”

“This is an absolutely charming inn attached to a pub and restaurant. The room is cozy and updated. The restaurant food is local, fresh, and beautifully prepared. Sunday roast was just delicious. You’re in the Yorkshire Dales National Park with a number of beautiful walks/hikes right outside the door.”

“We were surprised on arrival to be given an apartment as we had only booked a double room. As we were there for a few nights it was good to have the extra space and kitchen facilities. Everything was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. We understand that this is a new venture and there were one or two things that hadn't quite been finished off but overall it was a good stay. We ate in the pub on one night and the food was excellent. Maybe one or two more options for gluten free....

“Have stayed here twice before though not in recent years. Small hotel in the centre of Hawes, ideally situated, cosy and welcoming, comfortable beds, nice views and reasonably priced. However, it is starting to look tired. First impressions count and I noticed all the paint was coming off the front door. In our bedroom, the toilet roll holder was hanging off the wall and the trim under the shower screen (bath/shower) was green and broken - consequently the shower leaked all over the floor and...

“The Red Dragon is advertised as "Has Onsite parking Very Rare for location. That was the reason we booked it. When we arrived we discovered it has zero parking. The manager and staff apologised and advised where we should park. the town is short of longterm parking. We ended up spening a lot of time driving around and paying a lot for overnight parking. The rooms are fine. the breakfast very good, the Staff friendly and helpful”
