Loved the design and simplicity of the property (kept a lot of original history and structure). Good food, cute pool, functional rooms. Area isn't the best (you'll definitely need a car). Also didn't receive my Expedia VIP perk.

Staff were pretentious and unfriendly. Every interaction was unpleasant - from grabbing a coffee in the morning (the bearded barista was so unfriendly and unhelpful) to making a purchase from their gift shop to check in - all bad. The property itself is gorgeous, but the attitudes made it pretty bad; and coming from someone from the northeast - it was BAD. Also there is a dog kennel that abuts and dogs will be barking non stop from about 6:30am until 8pm - also not very pleasant.

Maybe the best hotel experience we’ve ever had. Love that it’s a converted union hall (we’re union people!) and that it was upgraded instead of torn down. It was quirky and fantastic, the staff were wonderful (every single one of them), the pool was an unexpected pleasure, the area was great for walking (right near Zilker Park and Barton Springs as well as authentic Tex-Mex restaurants)
