Staff is great! Room was comfortable and clean. My only issue is that I did not feel safe using the co-ed restroom on the first floor, especially because there are men in the restroom from the bar who have been drinking. Would have given a better review had it not been for the restroom.

The hotel is new, clean, funky, and right across the street from UT. The staff were great too. Only downsides are that the rooms are small and the only parking option is valet, which is expensive. Hotels should provide free parking to their paying guests, not charge them an exrtra $50 on top of the room rate. Not cool.

The Moxie Hotel delivered a genuinely enjoyable stay overall. The staff was warm and attentive from the moment I arrived, and the property was clean and well-maintained throughout. Those things do not go unnoticed, and I appreciated the effort. That said, I have to be honest about the one thing that matters most in a hotel: the bed. For $160 a night, I expected a restful night of sleep, and unfortunately, that was not the case. The mattress and pillows were uncomfortable and fell well below what you would expect at that price point. A hotel's primary purpose is to give guests proper rest, and an investment in quality mattresses, memory foam options, or better pillow selections would go a long way toward making this place truly stand out. I would consider returning if the sleep situation improves, because everything else was genuinely great.

The moxy was a great place to stay. It is located where you can walk to some cute bars and restaurants. The atmosphere is friendly, quirky and relaxed. When I walked in I was immediately greeted and when i checked in, I was given a free drink token for the bar. Then I was told about the amazing tacos shop located in the hotel. After I got settled in my room, I came downstairs and had their signature drink with my token (which was so good) and nachos from the taco place. Then I went in the courtyard and sat on a swing and relaxed! My room was small, but would be perfect for a couple. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. The only negative thing I can say is that people might have a hard time parking if they don't want to pay for parking in the garage. I lucked out and got a place to park for free on the street behind the hotel.

This hotel is definitely for the younger crowd. We were in Austin for our son’s wedding and he was staying there as well so wanting to be with him we stayed there also.
