Nice clean room with plenty of towels and a refrigerator - enough for my overnight needs while on the road. I have stayed here before - last year, I think, and am happy that the owner is making a difference in this small, isolated town. I am thankful there was a room left for me to stay in!

Room and property were clean, how ever keep in mind this is a small town with only a couple places to eat and drink there is a gas station and ev hook ups Motel was quiet and clean no staff on location help your self coffee Great room good bed and hot water and nice linen

Awesome funky little place. Very comfortable. Super friendly owners. Gas station next door. Restaurant up the street. My room was very clean and comfortable. This is a great place to stay is Austin is your destination or just a convenient stop along your way. Not much else in either direction for a while. But thankfully, this isn’t one of those “because it’s the only option” places. I’ll plan to stay here rather than my usual stop in Ely next time I’m coming through on 50.

Check in by photo and owner tells you key number to collect. I had no problem. Another guess who was trying could not get cellphone coverage and I let them borrow my phone. Rooms are cozy and very clean. Bed was confortable.

It was unexpected for me to have stayed here, which is probably unusual here. Austin is a remote place that you probably would not normally stumble upon. If traveling on Highway 50, though, this is a very comfortable stopping point. The room is simple, but the bed was comfortable and the shower good. The climate control unit provided white noise during the night, which was good, especially when the rooster across the road got going. Check-in is by phone when you arrive, though very informal. I am sure staff would help in case of further need. There is a 24-hour laundry facility across the road. Fuel is pretty expensive, though that corresponds to the location. A memorable stop.

‘Cozy’ really describes the room we stayed in! Although tiny, the accomodatuons were very clean, the sheets were crispn& white, the heater was perfect (it was 18 F that night!) and the bathroom was spacious. Highly recommend! Austin is a very small town, but we ate a delicious chicken wings and fries dinner at a charming historic bar across the street (the only place serving food and drinks that night). The bar’s owner was a charming character and made our night a memorable one.
