Stayed in a family room. Price for 2 adults and 2 kids was great. Very convenient location for an early airport departure. Great location for a visit to Rainbows End or Westfield and a choice of eateries on your doorstep. Staff were very lovely and helpful and room had everything we needed. The room was just very tired and in need of a little TLC to get it back to its former glory. Bed linen and towels were spotless

This has always been one of our favourite hotels in Auckland due to the split level family rooms, friendly staff, and proximity to the motorway, restaurants and Rainbows End. On this trip (staying in room 22) we felt the general room upkeep has deteriorated. The milk shelf was missing from the fridge door, the battery was dead in the clock, the upstairs curtain rail falls down when you shut the curtains, the inside of the jug was rusty so we were too scared to use it, and the TV wouldn’t connect. It’s almost like management need to stay a night in each room so they can pick up on little faults that aren’t immediately obvious at first glance. It won’t stop me staying here again because as I said we love this hotel, but I make these comments to manage people’s expectations.

The staff member that checked us in was lovely, talked to our child and asked questions etc very nice :) Room was adequate for what we needed to for this stay, however we only received 2 towels for 3 guests we made it work as we discovered it so late in the day evening to our travel plans. Clean and tidy, sheets clean but stained unfortunately, but would stay again. It rained a few times and there wasnt a dry way to get up to our room but this was not a deterrent. Air con worked amazingly, tv was also adequate. There was quite a lot of rubbish and mess about the puside of the rooms and bushes/carparks surrounding but the rooms were fine. Good shower however no extractor fans so it did get quite muggy when we used this
