The staff really tried hard and were very polite but I think there were back of house staffing issues that put them in a bad spot. That’s the only reason I rates it lower on service. There were a lot of people waiting on rooms well past check-in time. I booked a double queen room and it still wasn’t ready at almost seven and we had children to get to bed so I took the only option I was given and had my whole family in one bed. I was told there was a pull out couch in my room and there was only a bench. I had to change clothes in the lobby bathroom for dinner because we couldn’t get into our room.
Property Issues: Our door wouldn’t deadbolt, which is a safety issue with younger kids. the door to the bathroom wouldn’t close. There were no hooks to hang towels or clothes. The water pressure was awful and the water was only slightly hot, verging on warm. The pillows and sheets were not comfortable, very cheap and scratchy. My biggest complaint is the closet, the rod to hang your clothes was over the refrigerator. If I hung a dress it was laying on top of the fridge bunched up or I had to drape it over the front and it was partially lying on the floor because the rod was only about 4’ off the ground. I think even a longer shirt would do the same. The nook for the closet was full height so it looks like they just cheaped out on the closet system. For the price all you are really paying for is a location and a clean room.
I hope they work out the kinks. It was fine for one night
Check in was supposed to be at 3. Our room was not ready until 8pm. We had a dinner event and had to get ready in the trunk of our car. Shower didn’t get past lukewarm. We went downstairs the next morning to speak to a manager and none was available, asked if there was breakfast and was told yes. So we ate from the buffet style selection then upon standing up were told it was an additional $30, the front desk didn’t mention that, no signs were out and the staff in there mentioned nothing until we were finished. Management never called us back when we left our name at the desk despite assurances within an hour or two to discuss our dissatisfaction, we’ve tried calling twice in the last six hours and no further result. They are ill prepared, not worth the expense and customer service has been entirely deficient/unaddressed.
