Cute hotel, not sure why theres so many negative comments the only thing that didnt work was the TV which was completely fine. Its also a 3ish minute walk from the beach which is perfect considering the price

Just gross. Dirty carpet, Smelly water that stains all the plumbing. Old furniture and everything is basically in disrepair. Can hear people in neighboring rooms. Windows worked, heat and air worked.

Good points: Good location. Somewhat comfortable bed. Nice refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. Bad points: The water in the bathroom was yellow when I turned on the sink. The water overall smelled like a well. When I showered, my hair even had this musty smell. The walls need painting. A larger TV with options for local channels would be nice. The biggest issue was the carpet. It was filthy. I wore socks to keep my feet from touching the carpet and after one day, the the bottoms were black. I had to wash them to get the blackness out.

If you need a minimalistic, clean, simple, no frills, place to stay that is an excellent value and located close to everything, this is a great place. We loved the store next door, they literally have everything one could need, and prepare really good fresh pasty's that are hot and ready and deli sandwiches. It is a mini grocery store, they have non ethanol premium on the pump. I was very happy with our stay there. The owners and employees are very kind people as well.

Simple, budget friendly, great location, had most of what I needed, minimum necessities. Didn't have a good place in the room for clothing or to put a suitcase or bag; only 1 hanger, and it was for pants. TV was very small. No ventilation in the bathroom. Next to party house, sounded loud and violent at about 3am.

National park conveniently close. Motel could use deadbolt on exterior door for safety. Windows needed lock replaced. Room ok but refrigerator was broken smelled awful if opened. Would not recommend a stay during warmer months.

We liked that it was a block off Lake Superior. Even though it was old,, we didn’t mind that. But the carpet was dirty and torn, only HOT water n the shower, the bed was hard but the bedding was clean!!!!

It is close to Munising/ Pictured Rocks, just a short scenic drive away on M28. It is a short walk to Au Train beach on Lake Superior. The carry-out pizza restaurant Northwoods across the street has delicious pizza. The grocery store next to this motel has delicious meat pasties.
