It was clean and welcoming, I love that it had two separate bedrooms and a little kitchenette. I would stay there again.

This is a very adequate humble unit. It has all the necessary amenities like coffee, fridge , toaster and microwave. It's quite alright.
We liked that it was a block off Lake Superior. Even though it was old,, we didn’t mind that. But the carpet was dirty and torn, only HOT water n the shower, the bed was hard but the bedding was clean!!!!

This is a low budget place to stay and fits the bill for that. Rooms are outdated and falling apart (literally-the ceiling tiles look like they could come down on the bed at any time). Room was clean. Staff next door was very unpleasant and wouldn’t even look up from their personal phone call to ask if we needed help. For the area it’s one of the cheaper options if you just need a place to stay for the night.

The room seemed clean but room deodorizer spray was a little overwhelming. And they missed the microwave. Some one had blew up something in there. Honest mistake I guess but makes me wonder what else they missed. Extremely friendly employees at the store for checking and purchases.

Property was clean and employees were courteous and helpful.
We loved our stay here. Not luxurious but basic clean, comfortable rooms at a good price. Excellent value! Very close to the Au Train beach and adjacent grocery, and an easy drive to Munising.
The staff was very friendly and there are lots of yummy treats at the store and the most beautiful beaches within a few steps. Couldn’t ask for a better stop.

The room was clean, bed sheets were clean. The shower was hot. Only thing was the tv was small, overall we enjoyed it. Would stay again Also the pasties, were great...
It is close to Munising/ Pictured Rocks, just a short scenic drive away on M28. It is a short walk to Au Train beach on Lake Superior. The carry-out pizza restaurant Northwoods across the street has delicious pizza. The grocery store next to this motel has delicious meat pasties.
Staff was very friendly and helpful, sheets were new and clean! Walking distance to Lake Superior and AuTrain beach. Tiny, quaint motel. Great stop on my UP journey. Handmade, fresh pastie too!
Despite the hard bed and aged faciity, the staff was excellent and accommodating to our every request from helping with the wifi to providing ice, and chilling our wine.
I especially loved their friendliness and genuine concern.

It was everything I expected it to be on a shoestring budget. I read all the reviews, looked at the pictures, and went prepared. The staff was very nice.

I loved how friendly and helpful the staff was. They accommodated our request for extra late entry with no problem. Worked out perfectly for our purpose. However looking for a place to stay for a few days, might want to find something with more comfortable beds. Otherwise cute little space.
We were fairly happy. The only down side was the walls are so thin you can hear the neighbors conversation and the TVs we laughably tiny. Beyond that it was clean and everything worked. The staff in the store was outstanding...every one of them. We stayed 2 night and would not hesitate to stay again. The minor inconveniences are more than a fair trade off for the price.
This is the type of property I would have expected in the UP in the 1950s. Unfortunately it has never moved on or been updated. It does have all the basics and sufficed for one night's stay in a convenient location.
