I stayed at TownePlace Suites by Marriott Atlanta for a vacation, and the booking was made through Expedia. Unfortunately, the check-in experience was very frustrating. When we arrived, the hotel’s system was down, and it took more than an hour to complete the check-in process.
Because of this delay, we missed plans we had scheduled after check-in, which was disappointing, especially after traveling. The staff mentioned it was a system issue, but there was no clear timeline or proactive resolution during the wait.
That said, once we were checked in, everything else was fine. The room was clean, the stay was comfortable, and there were no other major issues during our visit.
Overall, the stay itself was okay, but the long and poorly handled check-in experience definitely impacted our first day and overall impression. I hope the hotel improves its process and communication during system outages to avoid this for future guests.
