Web pages make this place look a lot nicer than it was. For the most part it was clean but I would invest in new bedding because you could see right through the sheets and it wouldn’t hurt to double sheeting the beds. All in all we had a good stay.

I really enjoyed my stay. The surrounding area felt safe,good places to eat,etc. Hotel was clean. They are remodeling and i wont hold that against them. The view was spectacular! I would definitely visit again!

Just average

Good enough for a night or two at most. First off the hotel is far away from everything and by itself with nothing around. Could see its has been remodeled and still needs some finishing. Breakfast is VERY continental (2 apples, 2 bananas, half loaf of bread..). On positive note was able to get a pizza delivered. In short rooms could be little more spacious and door thi ke but would stay again if ever in area.

It was clean and comfortable. There was a strong smell , not unpleasant , of deodorizer or something as soon as you walked in, thankfully not in the rooms. It was strong enough to bother my allergies. The down side was the breakfast. Although to be fair there was a sign posted saying coffee, juice, and baked goods, no protein option available. I feel one kind of muffin, a bag of chocolate chip cookies, and bread doesnt quiet qualify as breakfast. Overall for a one night stay it was fine.

We have stayed at this location multiple times. We come to see our daughter and she has recommended this place to not only us but has had 8 other families stay here for the last 5 years. We know the place isn’t beautiful or even what we would normally stay in but it is the only hotel in the area and close to our daughter. Since coming to this place we have never used any of the amenities due to us spending the day visiting and exploring the area. One of the days it was hot and my wife wanted to bring our grandchildren to the pool for the afternoon. There was nobody in the pool, the grandchildren were quiet and not causing a ruckus, and the hotel only had a handful of guests period (which one was recommended by our daughter and is friends with her neighbor). One of the owners (who live on site) came out and asked what room my wife was in. She gave him the room number and he said that room is registered to only one guest. She gave my name and he said okay that’s fine but no outsiders are allowed in the pool. My wife replied that these are my grandchildren and he said “that’s good, they need to get out.” As many times as we have stayed here, as many times as this place has been recommended, to be so disrespectful when you clearly don’t have a lot of business to begin with shows you have horrible customer service. My wife gathered up the grandchildren and brought them home. While leaving she refused to talk to him and his response is you can check out right now! Unprofessional!

This hotel is not on a main strip or in a busy area. It is a clean area. Since it is off the main road by 3 turns it was not over crowded. I enjoyed it. The beds were comfortable. The rooms cooled off fast. The hallways were hot but it is summer. There was no breakfast or food in the morning but you are not far from a fast food place. This is about 30 mins to the Tail of the Dragon and about an hour from Gatlinburg. If you plan on going to both places, its a perfect location.

I decided to try based on a high review score, what a disappointment to find an old poorly-maintained hotel. Dank musty smell upon entering the hotel, the room had peeling wallpaper and nasty stains all over the carpet. There were "things" all over the carpet, and it needed vacuuming badly, however during my 4 nights nothing was vacuumed or cleaned. Just nasty and dirty, my recommendation is to go elsewhere.

Comfortable Stay

I was generally happy with my 2 night stay here. Clean and comfortable, pretty basic. TV had few channels of any interest; other hotels I recall having more choices. The bathroom was roomy and even decorated nicely, although the nice shower was one of those with no tub, and just a low barrier which does nothing to keep the water inside the shower area only. Not a big deal, and probably good for those who cannot step over the side of a bath tub. Only complaint really was the very thin and brittle pieces of soap that were supplied and no ledges to safely put anything while in the shower. I also could not find a wifi code anywhere and didn’t think to ask for it on check-in. Make sure you do! Breakfast was good/basic, although I think should have included eggs in some form. Overall a good stay and would return if the price remains mid range.

Glad it was only a one night stay. Hotel is located off by itself, away from town which is wonderful (and also the main reason I picked it), but unfortunately that was the only real up-side to my stay. I checked in around 7:30pm. The lady at reception was very friendly and helpful. There is a very strong fragrance throughout the whole hotel from wall plug-ins, to the point that I had a sore throat and headache from it. If you are scent sensitive, I would NOT recommend staying at this hotel. The room was a nice size. Bed was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, there was no seal under the door, so I could hear everyone walking and talking as they went by. Also, the room was connected to another by a door between rooms - this door must've been hollow because I could hear everything from the next room (conversations, tv blaring, arguments... you get the idea). It was well after midnight before the hotel throughout was quiet enough for me to sleep. The AC unit was extremely loud. The fan was loud enough before the AC kicked in, I couldn't believe it could possibly get louder, yet somehow it did. I had to shut it off. It would be impossible to sleep with it on. The next morning, I looked forward to a refreshing shower. One of my two towels was stained to the point that I wasn't comfortable using it. Thankfully the other one was spotless. The shower itself was dated, but clean. No one at the desk upon check out to discuss issues, just a basket to drop your room cards in.

My friends and I were in town for a wedding and this is the only hotel for miles around, which is the only reason we still ended up staying. Several of us have booked the reservation months before hand, and when we checked in, they claimed that none of us had paid for the reservation. We presented receipts and confirmation emails, but the only way that they would let us stay is if we showed them our bank statement that had the charge actually on it. Otherwise, they wanted us to pay again. We are not the only guests they did this too. I understand if there are issues with the website or something, but the fact that they are doing it to every person seems sketchy. On top of that, their attitude about it was instantly negative and it was literally the worst customer service I’ve ever seen. We were tired and just needed a place to lay down so we were willing to pay again and asked for a phone number to call to get the charges figured out. The lady at the front desk said, and I quote “ There is no number. You haven’t paid.” When I got to my room, the AC wasn’t on and the room was 90°. So I went back to the front desk and asked for a different room. Their response was to go to my room (as if they didn’t believe me), turn on the AC, and tell me it’ll be cool in a few minutes. Of course I wanted a different room. It eventually happened, but I got a lot of attitude for it. The roomsthemselves were clean. That’s about all they’ve got going on. I wouldn’t stay here if you could help it.

Room was exceptionally clean, spacious, and bed very comfortable. Check in was easy and facility was quiet with easy access to a State Road to reach mainstream eateries etc. The only drawback was facility exterior appeared unkempt which made me initially question if entire operation might be in disrepair. Thankfully this wasn't the case. Also parking lot lights were not on after dusk and made me feels bit vulnerable as a lone traveler. Otherwise, a restful stay for a better than average price!
