The hotel has great staff, everyone there was extremely helpful and friendly. On the first day, we arrived early from a night flight and were sleepy and jet lagged. The reception manager gave us early priority check-in, which we were extremely grateful for. The breakfast has extended hours till 10:30 am and both cold and hot options were available. Loved the Greek yogurt they served so thick you could eat it with a fork. The hotel is within a walking distance to the Acropolis, Agora and the metro station. We walked everywhere. Definitely would stay there again and give my highest recommendation.

Hotel Ilissos was one of the most welcoming places in downtown Athens!!! They cared for me like family. The breakfast buffet was beautiful with many options, fresh international cuisine, clean facilities and rooms with incredible views of the acropolis! They helped me find my way with walking, directions the bus and Subway and how to live like a local, even though I was a tourist. I’ll definitely be back!

The accommodations were great! Clean room, beds were comfortable, the whole room was very comfortable, and it is in a great location - close to the metro and walking to many parts of Athens. It was clean and comfortable. The front desk was welcoming and helpful. If there is more than one of you in the room, be sure to ask for two keys because one has to be used to keep the lights on for those left in the room while others go out.
