I stayed for night as a stop over in Athens. The staff were all very helpful and pleasant. The common areas are good, with breakfast and the pool being great. The room (single) was a 2-3 star room. Very basic, old furniture, and the bed is mediocre. I liked the location and enjoyed walking 15 min to the beach and to Glyfada city center. Overall, I recommend the hotel and would stay again, but if itā€™s a longer stay, then I would give more consideration to the room

Our stay at Golden Sun Hotel got off to a difficult start. The condition of our original room was disappointing, with a number of cosmetic and maintenance issues that fell short of our expectations. Thankfully, the team responded swiftly and organised another room, which made a real difference. The bedroom was very comfortable, the bed was lovely, and the shower pressure was some of the best I have experienced in a hotel! The staff were absolutely brilliant throughout our stay: attentive, welcoming and always willing to help. We really appreciated their efforts to turn things around after our initial disappointment. The location is fantastic, with the beach very close by and plenty of lovely walks in the surrounding area. The swimming pool was another highlight, and the excellent poolside service made it a particularly enjoyable place to relax. The main drawback was the sound insulation. The walls are paper thin, and you can hear a lot at night, which can be disturbing when trying to sleep. This is certainly something that would benefit from improvement, alongside the condition of some of the rooms. Despite the rocky start, we really enjoyed our stay and would be keen to visit again. The wonderful staff, great location and poolside experience left us with plenty of positive memories.

I had a wonderful stay at Golden Sun Hotel and truly cannot praise the staff enough. Despite my baggage being delayed for most of my stay, the team made me feel completely at home from the moment I arrived. A very special thank you to Tatiana, Khalid, and all the reception team for their kindness, support, and professionalism. They always went the extra mile to help with anything I needed, always with genuine smiles on their faces. I honestly cannot describe how helpful and caring they were throughout my stay. Their warm attitude turned a stressful situation into a very comfortable and pleasant experience. The hotel location is excellent, only a 5 minute walk from the main restaurants and cafes, and just 1 minute from the train station, which made everything very convenient. The hotel itself was very clean, well maintained, and the breakfast offered an excellent variety of choices every morning. Thank you again to the entire team for such amazing hospitality. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

Beautifully renovated on first floor including reception, restaurant, bar etc. especially the pool area! The rooms are due to be renovated soon as well, however it didnā€™t matter as the excellent service and pool area made up for it!

The staff are incredibly nice and helpful. It's an older property which looks to have had renovations so the bedrooms are larger than modern hotels. Beds are very comfy and there was a great powerful shower. Lovely breakfast even the hotel coffee machine is better than most hotels I stay in. You can walk to the beach, restaurant and shops and it's an easy taxi to town and the airport.
