I absolutely loved my stay at Basma Hotel-Aswan. I celebrated my birthday at the hotel and was made to feel so special by all the staff. Special thank you to Miss Reham, guest relations manager, Felo from the Admin team, Mohamed from the night reception team and the wonderful Mr Waleed from the restaurant. I loved my stay so much that I extended for an additional three days.

First trip to Aswan, the amazing team at Basma Hotel made my birthday feel very special. Thank you Reham from Guests Relations for my birthday cake and decoration in my bedroom. Thank you Felo and Mohamed from the reception and administration team and special thank you Mr Waleed from the restaurant. Highly recommended for solo travellers. 10/10 for everything.

Nice older hotel with a beautiful view of both city and river. Ideal location, walking distance to Nubian Museum and ferries to Elephantine island. Friendly staff, welcoming and providing great recommendations with a smile (thank you Miriam at front desk) We had à la carte dinner- the juiciest tender chicken pieces in shish tawouk and fatty. Daily free breakfast buffet is epic- with fresh food, omelette station and the wide variety of breakfast pastries, yogurts, accompaniments. WiFi could be stronger in the rooms, works fine in the lobby area.

Very nice location and the best Egypt class hotel of the trip. Fantastic breakfast buffet, rivals the resort class hotels. Rooms are very comfortable and quiet due to the height of the hotel. Has elevators, which is rare in Egyptian class hotels.

This hotel is just fantastic. Makes you feel like youre at a five star resort without the cost. The pool is the best part and the evening pool manager treated us so well and even gave me a cake for my birthday. Cool view of aswan and the lobby is very artsy and unique. Good food too!

The room was OK, but the cleaning job could be better.The bathroom tub had black mold in the corner. It was unpleasant. We had only one bath towel for the two of us. The balcony offered a nice view. You will enjoy birds chirping in the morning. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool wasn't heated and the water was cold. The restaurant prices are very reasonable and the food was good. We also like the location right across the Nubian Museum. We spent half a day there.
