“The owner was really friendly and welcoming. I travel a lot and this was one of the best places I've been as far as staff and attitude goes. The room was perfect with everything you need in the kitchenette. Warm room and electric blanket. All very clean and with a lovely NZ wilderness mural on the wall. The shower pressure was AMAZING! The gardens were beautiful. I will certainly be back. ”

“I would have to say this was the best, most friendly motel my wife and I have ever stayed in and could not have been more convenient as we were there from Melbourne to visit my brother in Summerset retirement village for his 88 birthday.”

“Just A quick overnight stay on our way up to the ferry. Our cabin was great, nice and spacious for a family of 4 with 2 young kids. Right next to the amenities. Everything nice and tidy and room warm. Everything you need to cook and eat in the kitchen and bathrooms tidy.lovely spot”

“The staff was superb. Our luggage did not arrive from Auckland and Air New Zealand had it sent to the hotel. The front desk had it waiting in our room for just us. The actual room was beyond what we expected, coming from the US and not knowing the hotel location, it exceeded what we thought. Two beautiful rooms that were well-appointed with a porch with chairs Snd outdoor tabke awaiting our last evening‘s coffee.”

“we were in a unit that was upstairs and i thought that i had requested a downstairs unit , which was inconvenient as my partner had 3 heavy suitcases and i was incapable to do any heavy lifting”
