The property was not actually available for the days we reserved it because of construction even though the property was listed on several websites. Unfortunately, my family and I learned of this the day we checked in despite confirmation emails x2.
We were unable to rent another house or condo as all were sold out in Asheville. We ultimately had to stay at a hotel that I booked separate from Hotels.com.
Initially, I was told I would not get a refund because Hotels.com said the property was available when the owner reported to me it was not (over the phone, the website never got changed). Hotels.com was unwilling to help me change properties because of this. I finally got my refund the last day of my trip.
