It’s in the heart of the city with easy access to restaurants. You have to park a few blocks from the hotel, but it’s a quick walk. The Nepalese restaurant adjacent to the hotel was phenomenal. The room was fine, nothing special. The rooms are a bit more dated than the Lobby would suggest.

Booked two twin bed rooms for a family one night stay in Asahikawa. The service was excellent. Staff were helpful and kind. The hotel lobby is grand. Only two elevators for the entire hotel so service can be a bit slow especially during check-in time. The rooms are reasonably sized. The hotel is old so the rooms smelled quite musty and muggy. The a/c runs really well though so it’s cool in the summer. The bathroom piping is dated so expect loud noises and strange sounds. The location is not too bad. We walked between 10-20 mins for dining options.

I have stayed here several times, but I am dissatisfied with the old-fashioned check-in procedure, which takes a lot of time. While I appreciate that they accommodated my check-in request before the scheduled time, the way they mentioned it—saying they had to make a special arrangement—felt outdated. They could have simply said, “Luckily, the cleaning was completed, so you can use the room,” or, from a risk management perspective, they could have informed me that the cleaning was not yet finished. Overall, I feel that the hotel's efforts to improve quality are lacking compared to other establishments.
