This property was comfortable and convenient to hikes that we wanted to try. The manager explained the nearby hikes, provided kitchen tools that we needed, and was generally very friendly and helpful. Would stay here again!

Excellent stay

We stayed here for one night to break up a long journey and really enjoyed it. There are some lovely walks in the village. The room was cosy and well equipped and the bedding was very nice. All clean and very good value for money.

Owner was extremely helpful with the local area. Before arrival they contacted me regarding eating options in town so that I understood limitation ahead of time. Once I arrived they shared their knowledge on hiking/tramping options including timing. Property was very clean and spacious. I had everything I needed. Highly recommend.

Fantastic stay!

LOVED our stay here! Our room was large and well-equipped with everything we needed. There were games/movies available for loan and the town was a convenient walk away. The host was very friendly and provided great walking and food recommendations. Would highly recommend!

This was an overnight stopover after the long drive from Picton and it was a pity we could only stay a night. The cabin was welcoming and comfortable. The location suggests that it’s catered mostly for passing travellers, but it also has great appeal as a peaceful mountain getaway.
