Great outdoor scenery, hotel charged me for extra person but when I arrived there was no extra bed, no extra towels. Needed to wait a full day for them to bring the bed, when I called, they said I can go down to the front-desk and get the extra towel for the extra person that 1 was charged for, myself. Customer service was bad!!! The breakfast was good, they have little robots riding around with plates etc, the outside greenery is luscious, beautiful, just relaxing.

A classy countryside feel hotel

I needed to stay nearby and was impressed by the ease of arrival, available parking, welcome from the staff, vastness of communal areas, class and quality of the dining area. I would have wished to expolore the parkland and next time I will use the spa facility.

Beautiful hotel in a picturesque town. We couldn’t explore the area due to the bad weather but we’d love to go back again. Friendly staff, breakfast was ok not much variety but it’s a small hotel so this is acceptable. For a 4-star hotel, I expected more bathroom amenities (there was only shampoo, shower gel and shower cap). I think one had to pay extra for slippers & bathrobe. But all in all we had a great stay! We recommend this place. Thank you, Bilderberg.

Great location, nice surroundings outdated rooms

Comfortabel stay. Outside pattio for breakfast and drinks was great canapy keep us in the shade. General area of the hotel had upgrade it seemed recently but room were dated. No Ac or in room ventilation beside a small prived fan. Booking a de luxe room and ended up in a very small room 301 straight under the roof was not really what we anticipated but after checking with reception it did matches our booking. Our friends who we travelled with and who were on the same booking had a much bigger room. 5 out of 8 electric car chargers were broken and 3 people left there car overnight while they're cats were fully loaded. Breakfast was very good los of local cheese and break. Fresh juice and great coffee.

Sort transportation if you do not have a vehicle before hand! It’s difficult to get Ubers from the train station and no pavements to walk on!

I’ve stayed here before and have known the hotel all my life. It’s in the most gorgeous surroundings but the building, rooms and outside could do with spruce up. Staff were v nice but breakfast needs some sort of system. (Also which hotel does not serve jam???) I won’t hesitate to recommend because of the area but it is no longer the place it once was.

Excellent stay in the woods

My tour group srated here for 2 nights, October 6&7, 2023. Thus is an amazing hotel. Staff go above and beyond to ensure tfeir guests needs are seen to. When we could not get a reservation for dinner at the hotel's restaurant, they called 6 different restaurants for us, and we eventually got reservations at the Schoonard - great choice. The onsite bar was well stocked with lots of choice. I'd last stayed here in October 2010 and was pleased to see the hotel still had the excelkent service i remembered. My only complaint is i found the tub a bit too high to step in and out of confortably. Would have preferred a walk in shower.
