A warm, comfortable place to stay surrounded by stunning rugged beauty. The chocolate cake in particular was excellent. I wish I could have stayed much longer.

Property was a little old but it was very cozy. I loved the different sections to chill around. For me the isolation of location was the best part. Breakfast was very good and people very amazing! This was my favourite stay during my vacation.

The road to get here is rough but the trip is so worth it. The hotel is beautiful and the staff are so kind. The food was delicious! This is a one of a kind spot and was a highlight of my Iceland trip.

Cozy

Shared bathroom .. not our preference but ok and they were clean. Restaurant is very good. It’s a cozy and interesting place. The guided tour of the old herring factory was really good.

One of the best places I've ever been to in terms of coziness, hospitality, and tranquility. I felt at home the moment I opened the car door. The place tells a story of the owners and their family, and the village and it's herring factory. The surroundings are fantastic. I'll return one day.

Sauberes, kleines aber schön eingerichtetes Zimmer. Kostenloser Kaffee und Tee auch außerhalb der Frühstückszeiten. Es gibt Sitzgelegenheiten außerhalb der Zimmer. Das Hotel liegt eine gute Stunde Fahrt mit dem Auto außerhalb der nächsten Ortschaft nahe eines Wasserfalls. Es ist also ruhig, aber nicht zu ruhig. Die Fahrt selbst ist ein Erlebnis für sich.

Heimilislegt og fallegt hótel í einstakri náttúru

Mjög huggulegt en pínulítið of "heimilislegt" t.d. fannst mér það aðeins um of þegar hundurinn fór inn í eldhús. Maturinn var engu að síður mjög góður.
