Great stay.

The location is amazing. The included breakfast is delicious and the view from the rooftop restraunt where it's served is beautiful. We did have some trouble with water into our room with heavy rain, but it was more than made up for by the staff who were very helpful over the entire stay.

Katari’s location is second to none: right in front of the main city plaza. The rooms were nicely appointed. There is no AC, just a fan, which we didn’t really need to use during our stay (early May). Breakfast on the rooftop offers a killer view of Plaza de Armas with the cathedral and volcano as a beautiful backdrop. Staff are super friendly and helpful. The plaza can get noisy at night, but is safe with lots of police officers around.

Loved it!

This must be one of the best places to stay in Arequipa! The room was wonderful and well equipped with filtered water, kettle, robe, slippers. As with many of the older buildings it is not well isolated so you hear sound from the hallway and from the city if some celebration or procession is ongoing. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, I got a lot of information and recommendations during check in. The rooftop terrace was a great place for breakfast.

Number 1 place to stay in Arequipa

The hotel is as central located as could be right on the Plaza del Armas with a fantastic view from our room. The rooftop restaurant is serving as the breakfast place. This is super relaxing with the view of three Volcanos, breathtaking. Being in the center and within walking distance from Arequipa’s best restaurants is fantastic. The staff is very helpful and friendly and has given us great advice on restaurants and support with our excursions.

The hotel was everything we expected it to be. I liked the water filter in the bathroom so we could refill our bottles. When you stay here check out the bottom of the breakfast menu for the chef recommendations.

Very comfortable and enjoyable stay

Hi, we had a presidential suite which was big and view of plaza de armas and glimpse of misti mountain...other family in a double which again was good size....staff helpful...we enjoyed breakfast and drinks on the roof top...the restaurant had very good food for snacks and dinner...some of the best traditional arequipean dishes we tried....hotel is good location to plaza tours restaurants markets and shopping. Only negative with location is that as the plaza is the centre so can be noisy.
