Perfect for skiing and great after ski. After ski closes by 6pm. Sauna and Hot tub is a great way to relax after a day in the slopes. Funicular goes from hotel to town every 20min.

Excellent access to the slopes, board/ski storage and the best sauna I've ever experienced. The room was of good quality but small for 3 people, cramped so be wary if you are booking this option with a bed sofa like in our case. The TV was really old and awkwardly positioned beside the bed, banged off it a few times getting in and out of bed. As in other scandinavian hotels we've visited the bed linen was 'noisy' and very soft pillows. Breakfast was excellent but there was zero interaction with the staff, no welcome, no conversation, it all felt very robotic especially compared to the bar staff who were warm and friendly.

Lovely stay

Location is fantastic - very easy access to town using the free train or a 15-20 minute walk. All staff were lovely and helpful. Great breakfast. Only downside is that the rooms are dated but given what we paid for the room we would definitely stay again. Bathtub and sauna a big plus!

The nicest place in Åre

Fjällgården is an amazing hotel in Åre with the best location possible in the middle of the slope - full ski-in/ski-out, but also accessible by car, taxi or the legendary Åre funicular. Many of the rooms have great views of the mountain and the valley and if you then ad one of the best after-skis, nice classic alpine cuisine and a very cozy atmosphere overall this is the perfect mountain lodging in Åre!

We had an amazing time! Skiing is just on the door step, food is very elaborate and delicious, hospitality is very welcoming. Staff are attentive and happy to help! Just must take kettle with you as there isn’t one in the room. Atmosphere of Âpres Ski is absolutely lovely with ABBA and other songs which you can hear in the room but not too loud, and everything stops after 5:30 pm so no issue for the children sleeping well. The hot tub is amazing but must be booked in advance. Worth it! Åre is lovely city, and Gronan at Åre Torg is very helpful and can take you down very quickly. Beautiful scenery and slopes for everyone ! Not crowded! Sweden never disappoints ❤️

Vi hade svårt att hitta hotellet som ligger högt upp på fjället efter en grusväg, skyltningen var urdålig och kan verkligen förbättras. Rummet var rent och snyggt, en liten märklig och pikant detalj var att det fanns ett fönster mellan toalett/badrum och sovdelen, att det fanns en jalusi som gick att reglera från sovdelen är väl upp till besökaren att bedöma på vilken sida den ska sitta, jag hade föredragit att haft den på toasidan. Integritetsvarning. Frukosten var som utlovad - spartansk, men ett + för en tub messmör (vi är ju ändå i Jämtland - hometown of messmör) och fullt tillräcklig. Prisvärt boende? Absolut.

Trivelig hotell med sus av å være høyt oppe i fjellsiden. gode senger og god frokost. Veldig behjelpelig personale ( digitalt ). Alt av fasiliteter var stengt, så det ble en overnatting. Hotellet er nok preget av å tiltrekke seg unge kunder, tror det var minst 4-5 plasser med barlløsninger rundt i hotellet.
