Well located, quiet and value for money

The hotel is very well located, very close to both railway station, central part of Åre and not the least the ski-lifts. Worth knowing is that all rooms have windows towards the corridor and "lounch-area". The windows have curtains, but since the corridor / "lounch-area" is light-up 24 hours, it did not get completely dark in the room. However very quiet in the hotel. Breakfast is simple and did not live up to our expectations.

Vandrarhem, inte hotell.

LĂ€get Ă€r bra precis vid Åre torg, men det Ă€r svĂ„rt att hitta ingĂ„ngen, ont om parkering och lite information att hitta om vistelsen pĂ„ hemsidan. SjĂ€lva hotellet verkar vara ett ombyggt kontor med mycket smĂ„ rum <9 m2, inga fönster förutom ett ut till umgĂ€ngesytorna. Badrummet Ă€r litet men ok och frukosten vĂ€ldigt basic. För priset (1.480kr) hade vi förvĂ€ntat mer vilket nog Ă€r problemet. Med en annan prissĂ€ttning (7-800kr) hade vistelsen kĂ€nts klart mer prisvĂ€rd. Nu checkade vi ut efter en natt och flyttade till Holiday Club istĂ€llet. Samma pris, tre gĂ„nger större rum och helt andra faciliteter. In short, Åre Torg Hotel Ă€r ett vandrarhem och skulle tjĂ€na pĂ„ att prissĂ€tta dĂ€refter.

Enkelt hotell med stĂ€ngd reception redan 16:30. PĂ„ rummet en lista med regler. Skulle man rĂ„ka glömma nyckeln pĂ„ rummet var exempelvis ”serviceavgiften” 50% MER Ă€n vad hela rummet kostade för en natt. Mer fokus pĂ„ pekpinnar Ă€n vĂ€lkomnande. I övrigt helt ok. Frukost med bra service.

Hade varit ett bra vandrarhem, nu trist hotell.

Hotellet Ă€r ett f d vandrarhem, men vi hade nog kĂ€nt att vi fĂ„tt mer valuta för pengarna om det fortfarande kallades vandrarhem.. Det finns fina lounger att hĂ€nga i men rummen kĂ€nns som omgjorda kontor. VĂ€ldigt smĂ„ med fönster mot lounge, och jĂ€ttesmĂ„ superkalla badrum. Även rummet var kallt, och dĂ„ fĂ„r man starta elementet sjĂ€lv (30 min i taget). Det finns ett skidförrĂ„d men det Ă€r olĂ„st utĂ„t sĂ„ Man vill inte lĂ€mna sina grejer dĂ€r. Torkrummet funkade först inte men kom igĂ„ng under resan. Frukosten var extremt basic med billig utblandad juice. Den skulle serveras 07:30 sĂ„ man skulle kunna hinna upp tidigt i backen men vi fick höra att det var fĂ„ gĂ€ster och dĂ€rför serverades den 08? Det som rĂ€ddar hotellet Ă€r personalen. SĂ„ trevliga och tillmötesgĂ„ende! Vi bokade via hotels.com dĂ„ vi inte kĂ€nde till sĂ„ mĂ„nga hotell i Åre och detta lĂ„g bra till. VĂ€lj inte om du gillar fönster med utsikt, en fin frukost och varma badrum..

Reste sjĂ€lv för att Ă„ka skidor. BĂ€sta lĂ€get, nĂ€ra kabinen o VM 6:an. Åre Torg, mitt i centrum , direkt utanför hotellet, nĂ€ra till olika restauranger o butiker, skiduthyrning m.m. NĂ€ra till Åre station. Mycket fina loungemöbler med gott om plats utanför hotellrummen. Rummen Ă€r OK, funktionella men relativt smĂ„. Frukosten Ă€r OK men inte orsaken att Ă„ka hit.

Inget fönster i rummet. Ett av lakanen i sÀngen hade stora bruna flÀckar som var omöjliga att inte se, ÀndÄ har man valt att bÀdda med det lakanet. Receptionen obemannad bÄde vid in- och utcheckning vilka bÄde skedde under normala tider dÄ man förvÀntar sig personal pÄ plats. VÀldigt simpel frukostbuffe. Mer vandrarhemskÀnsla Àn hotell.
