We thoroughly enjoyed out two night stay at Barrow Lodge from the minute we arrived to when we left. Clodagh is an exceptional hostess, giving us the warmest welcome, and really useful advice on where to go for food and what to see. The room was big, clean with a lovely view of the estuary. Breakfast was fabulous. We've been recommending it to everyone since we left as it's a little gem and we'd definitely go back. If you're in the area, stay here!

I can’t say enough about this property and especially the owner. Very personable and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and the recommendation for dinner was exactly the cap off of a wonderful day. The place is updated and very nice. Bed was very comfortable. The area is gorgeous as you are on an inlet and beach within walking distance or a very quick drive. Our host was so nice. We really liked her. The breakfast was just incredible. Rooms are so solid you don't hear a peep from anyone else and you have your own entrance. Highly recommend. We would definitely stay here again.

Absolute perfection

The only night of our trip I did not prebook, and we hit the jackpot! Clodagh’s place is gorgeous, luxurious, ideally located on the water, and close to the action but far enough away to be a peaceful haven. The room was huge and well stocked, breakfast was sumptuous, and meeting Clodagh was like reconnecting with an old friend. Highly recommend! I want to come back and stay a week.

Barrow Lodge was a a great place to stay for our golfing vacation to visit Tralee and Ballybunion golf clubs. Spacious, clean and comfortable room with a nice big bed and goodies in the room like tea, water, coffee, sweets and fruit. Great views and right on the water. The host Clodagh is a wonderful person, a breath of fresh air; she is incredibly kind and generous and very helpful in providing tips on where to eat at night and making reservations. Her breakfast were also very delicious and you won’t go hungry. Absolutely super place to stay at!

From the moment the booking was confirmed, Clodagh was an amzing host! The property itself, the surrounding area and service were all amazing. All our needs, not that we had many besides a few recomendations for places to eat, things to see, how to get there etc.) were all catered for in a prompt, friendly & efficient manner. I had mentioned that the trip/stay was for my parnter's birthday and they helped us make memories we will cherish! We can't stop recommeneding this place. We'll be back!

Die Gastgeberin und die Küchenchefin waren sehr super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Man fühlte sich nicht als Gast sondern als Freunde, die zu Besuch kamen. Das Zimmer war einfach traumhaft und das Bad riesig. Das Bett war ebenfalls sehr komfortabel. Das Frühstück war immer frisch zubereitet die Lage an sich war ruhig aber man war in wenigen Minuten am Strand und in der Stadt.
