The hotel is very updated, clean and well maintained. Has one of the best hotel bars in Ann Arbor and is in walking distance to the University of Michigan. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is no pool or spa but they are affiliated with a local spa.

The property was really nice. Great location, great fitness center and staff at the front desk, concierge and parking attendants and cleaning services were all wonderful. The only critique is the wait staff in the restaurant had a bit of an attitude.

The rooms are excellent!!! Clean and very well appointed. Hotel staff was polite , professional, and very helpful. We had dinner at the Hotel and the food and service was amazing. The Vanguard in Ann Arbor went beyond my expectations! The room, lobby, restaurant and staff were exceptional! Our daughter was a student at U of M and we have stayed at many of the on-campus hotels throughout the years. The Vanguard is in a class of its own! I can't wait to stay there again!!! I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel to everyone!!!
