Location is excellent as is the staff. Superb. The hotel though is showing it's age and there was lots of water damage (peeling paint and plaster) in our room. Pool and grounds were beautiful. Breakfast was excellent.

The hotel has a great location overlooking Mount Brasil. It is within easy walking distance to Angra and central to all the major sites in Terceira. Breakfast was excellent! Great place to stay!

As many reviews have stated, the hotel is dated and definitely beyond its prime. The location is nice and close to Angra, the breakfast buffet is okay, the pool is nice for families (not ideal for a couple or romantic getaway), and the views are great. The hotel needs upgrades and quite literally has a "if you need repairs, call this number" in the bathroom, yikes. Our room smelled of smoke everyday from the nextdoor neighbors and it radiated through the vents. The hallway and stairwell is creepy and smells of the gym, sweat and rubber and bleach. It is not a luxury hotel or traditional 4 star experience, but serviceable.

All the guest rooms have fabulous ocean views. The included buffet breakfast was excellent with lots of variety. The hotel pool is wonderful, and has a pathway to ocean swimming with steps into the sea if you are interested. It's an easy 15 minute walk into town. The restaurant at the hotel has good prices with an outdoor patio. The only thing I didn't like during my stay was the plastic bed covering over the mattress...which made the bed a little uncomfortable. Would I return....absolutely!

Honestly, it was BEAUTIFUL. The rooms were clean, the breakfast was great! Service was amazing. The team did a great job at making us feel welcome. The daily cleaning was also well done! The location is just perfect. The amenities are great (pool, indoor pool, gym!)

Beautiful views. Nice pool but could have been better maintained. Front desk staff lovely; very helpful. Unfortunately, breakfast buffet and their staff need work. Coffee machines often down, food would ruin our and there was sometimes a long wait. Staff was not always pleasant either. Definitely some training needed there.
