Family trip

This is a wonderful thatched roof hotel, so old and quaint. Beds were super comfortable, room clean if a bit dated. The pub was wonderful, food was great. Highly recommend for authentic english experience.

Perfectly imperfect

The rooms are perfectly imperfect in my opinion, lovely place to stay, rooms are more homely than a like for like hotel. Bear in mind the surroundings that contribute to the impossible task of keeping these rooms 100% spotless. Wonderful place would definitely visit again.

Room was covered in cobwebs.dead flies on the windowsills.lightbulb missing in wall light.tired worn carpet.old mould stains in shower.friendly staff in pub.evening meal in the pub was nice.

Hatchet is 100% worth a visit

This is a beautiful looking old inn, with great food. It is popular with locals and I have stayed 3 times on work trips and will continue to use it in the future.
