The room was very spacious and clean, and had a patio or balcony looking out to a beautiful lake. They did not offer breakfast- but they had a restaurant that we did not go to. We stayed there twice- on our up to Denali NP, and on our way back. There are no elevators, so the first time we were on the second floor- but on our return- we requested a first floor room- which was much more convenient! It was a very nice property- and I would stay there again if we are ever in that area!

Beautiful mountain views and a very quick check‑in process. There’s no traditional reception desk instead, a staff member on-site at the hotel hands over the key, and the whole process took barely a minute. Not your typical check-in. The room had all the basic amenities There isn’t much to walk around or explore right outside the hotel, so you’ll need to travel a bit if you want to see more. Overall, it’s a simple, comfortable place. Nothing extraordinary, nothing disappointing. Great for a short, quick stay.

This hotel was the bomb. Unfortunately we were there on a Monday my birthday and there restaurant was closed but other restaurants in the area are great. Highly recommend this hotel.

The place just felt Alaskan, and the food is fantastic. The rooms aren't fancy, but they're solid, and very clean and quiet. I recommend the 2nd floor for the view over lake Wasilla. I will be staying there again.

The Mat-Su Resort is a great spot to explore the valley. Centrally located, rooms were of good size and comfortable amenities. The attached restaurant offered quality meal options, parking was easy, and the views were breathtaking! Kitchenette amenities could be improved to support those choosing to have food options in the room.
