We stayed here as a quick overnight stay while traveling on the Alaska Railroad. It is just a short walk from the train depot. It’s an older property but room was clean and comfortable for one night.

The room was clean, parking. Was nice to be able to have a walk path along the river. There was an unexpected fee upon arrival. $100 deposit, $35 a night pet fee. The website stated free for pets. Said nothing about a $100 deposit. I had booked using Expedia.

The location was great, convenient to the train station and walkable to downtown Anchorage and restaurants. I appreciated the free breakfast. They had really tasty bagels and cream cheese and good coffee which I like for breakfast. They have other items as well. The only complaint I have is that our room was musty smelling. The heater was also loud but we only used it to heat the room and then turned it off. Staff was gracious and they have a free shuttle to and from the airport which we appreciated.

Too loud!! Couldn’t sleep all night- right next to the train station which could be convenient for some but it was super loud! The breakfast was okay- the staff is nice though. The shuttle is available but was pretty much booked up for the entire day- so make sure you reserve it as soon as you know your plans. Overall- not worth the amount we paid for one night. Wouldn’t do it again.

Avoid this hotel at all costs! Horrible location, there was homeless people everywhere. Didn’t feel safe to walk anywhere. Rooms had no table, just two mismatched chairs stuck into each corner. Avoid avoid!!!

The room was big, the bed was comfy, we had a problem with the heat, but they fixed it immediately. It's right next to the train station, so be prepared for train whistles all night long. But we enjoyed our stay here, and they had a shuttle that took us to the train station in the morning. So it was exactly what we needed.

Our room smelled so strongly of urine. The front desk staff was very helpful and when I spoke to one of them, she said that a couple with two small dogs had stayed in the room right before us. The dogs had obviously urinated all over the room and it smelled terrible. I don’t know if this is a housekeeping issue or just bad luck, but the room was pretty bad.

The shuttle service’s two Wyndam hotels in the area and is complimentary, and being sure to call for it is important Other guests will be at the shuttle stop if you are coming from the airport, and they go in order of who called. Breakfast was mid but it’s breakfast. And my room was seemingly recently renovated. The train station across the street is very cool but will be blaring their horn because of the road crossings nearby. Great stay! I travel for work and definitely recommend staying here to maximize sleep and comfort.

Parking was a little tight a few nights, but still available. Our room was clean and very comfortable. The staff was very helpful. The breakfast was consistently very good and very well prepared. The staff taking care of the breakfast room did an excellent job keeping things maintained. We enjoyed our stay. The only negative was the pool was so cold, we couldn't stay in the water.

The staff were very nice and accommodating. The shuttle drivers were great. The hotel was clean and the room was sufficient, a tad outdated. It appeared they were doing some upgrades. My room had new carpeting and updated furniture, but the walls were bare. It appeared they were working on it one thing at a time. The breakfast was very basic; decent eggs and sausages, plenty of seating. It’s right next to the Alaska Railroad station. Some restaurants are close; ask the shuttle to take you up the hill, easier walk back is downhill.

Really close to the train station short walk from the amtrac. The pool was broken, the airport shuttle was unavailable at that time. We went to breakfast at 830 only had pancakes, sausage, toast and juice. I guess someone took all the food for a lunch or something. The room was clean. The sink was very slow to drain. Water pressure the the shower was hot and great 👍.
