I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to explore Amsterdam. The hotel is located near Grand Place and easily accessible to everything worthwhile.

Amsterdam is for walking so not too challenging there. The Rijk Museum is very close and so are a few otehrrs. It is a it far from the downtonw area, but walking distance. There a few supermarkets nearby.

We had a great stay. Nothing fancy but clean, easy Metro access, walking distance to all attractions. Would definitely stay there again. There is no elevator so you may have to climb the stairs to the 3rd floor. Wasn’t a big deal.

I like how it is conveniently located close to the Van Gogh museum, the Heineken experience and the boat tour that we signed up for. All other tourist spots are 1-2 train stops away. Room is clean and has the essentials. Will book this hotel on our next visit.

They are renoveting (may 2025). The hotel is a beautifull old building and is on a good spot in town. You can easy walk to every major spot and there is a tramstation near by as well. Its clean. Importante to know if you never been to amsterdam, classic old buildings have steep and nerrow stairways. All in all for a city trip 3-5 days its a nice stay.

The room was clean, staff friendly and very helpful. Room was hot as fan did not have heavy air flow. We unplugged the fridge it helped remove heat source. Used the dehumidifier it put out hot air but more cool then hot and opened window but loud outside. We would stay here again but ask to stay on first floor. Spiral staircase wears tough with luggage.

The staff is the glue of this property. They made our stay extremely pleasant and enjoyable, thank you! Honest review is that hotel needs renovation. The property is very run down. Not the cleanest and the cherry on top is the paper thin walls. Unless you like listening to other guests walking around, talk and others, sure. Unfortunately this hotel is not for me.

While I enjoyed that hotel is in a very old building, I wish I knew earlier there is no elevator, the steps were very narrow. The bed was very comfortable, staff were very helpful. Overall it was a nice experience.

Interesting property and we did enjoy our stay for the most part. The thing I didnt like is that we were given a room in the basement next to the breakfast area. It faced the street and was very noisy at night. I also didn't love the whole glassed in shower and toilet area, no privacy st all in there.

The manager or rather hotel customer service to customers is very very terrible. My experience with you all is bad been staying in hotels round the world as a traveller and I also give honest review. The review I’m giving now is based on the service I had with this hotel considering the fact of what happened to me on my visa as a foreigner. You people didn’t even assist me by making things easy for me and still took my 2 night that I was asking for my sister to use and eat or change of booking with the two night left. Is unfair. The area and canal view were so lovely. The hotel is unique and very Amsterdam. Great for walking and public transport links. We had a wonderful few days away - didnt want to come home!
