Fantastic hotel, clean, great use of space, all the ambience and amenities, terrific staff. Right across the street from Rijksmuseum but very quiet. Excellent location. We loved this hotel. Good value for the price - Amsterdam is expensive - and we will definitely stay here again next time we travel to Amsterdam.

The room was very clean but very very small. It was very quiet and in a wonderful location for museums , parks shops and restaurants. Very entertaining and safe. Also close to transportation.

We loved our 1 night stay at The Fitz. It was very close to everything we had planned for the day. The staff (thank you Laura)was exceptionally helpful, pulling out a city map, directing us to tram stops, pointing out interesting areas to visit & orienting us to city directions. We had a little snafu & she handle it with confidence good humour. We will definitely stay again on our next trip.

An excellent hotel with a fantastic location; it was very clean and the bed was comfortable. There was only one downside: the inability to open the windows and air out the room. The room has air conditioning, which unfortunately is not a ventilation system.

Clean room, helpful staff, amazing location. The stairs to rooms are extremely narrow and curved and the lift was broken so it's important to ask if they fixed it if you have mobility issues. Extremely small room, but had everything we needed. Very comfortable bed, and really strong shower.

We had a lovely stay at the Fritz hotel. The room we had was standard and on the small side but it absolutely met our needs and we were happy with it. It was clean, the bed was comfortable, and we had air conditioning which was a luxury. Some travelers may want to know that the stairwells to the hotel are narrow (but there is a small elevator), we had two smaller duvets on our queen bed rather than a large one, and the shower space doesn't have a door. But these are details that personally didn't bother us just things we noted as different. The staff here are very friendly and accommodating. They were keen to provide us with recommendations and information to ensure we had a great trip. We would absolutely stay here again! Thank you for your hospitality!

The best part about the Fritz is the location. Right across the street from Rijksmuseum/Van Gogh and short walk to metro, trams, and canals. The room itself was fine, we got the city view and could see right out to the street and museums. It’s small and cozy but we didn’t mind. AC worked well and kept the room cool. Not allowed to open the window but the view was still nice. There is an elevator but it’s extremely slow and was out of order a portion of our stay. Wasn’t a deal breaker as we preferred the stairs (very narrow in Amsterdam) but worth mentioning. The reception is only open 8am-6pm. We were able to check in with no issues before 6pm and they have WhatsApp for any questions after hours which they responded promptly. Overall I would recommend if you plan on visiting the museums and are looking for a solid budget option.

The hotel was centrally located near many transportation lines and the museum quarter of Amsterdam. When we had an issue with our room it was quickly remediated and the staff were very friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are staying in Amsterdam.

Good location and clean. Very loud rooms- can hear everything next door and above- and elevators were also out of service. Would be tough place to stay with mobility issues. Overall not bad but definitely bring earplugs.
