Definitely a nice place to stay. They are not big on checking in early. I visited in mid-July. Even when I returned to check in after, I had to wait and was given a room next to the elevator which is not ideal since it gets loud. Room was very clean and comfortable with black out curtains. No view. Same for my friend who stayed on a different floor - same room, different side, no view but nice room. Staff were on and off. Some friendly, some awkward. I really liked the location. I don’t like to stay in central areas. I prefer off center in clean and less touristy but nice more local neighborhoods. Lovely neighborhood. Ubers and taxis did take a while the 3x I tried during the weekend.

* Polite, super attentive staff. * Clean, calm vibe with a light touch of elegance * The primary builiding of the hotel is nestled in a historic building, which brings such charm. * Easy Uber/Taxi pick up/dropp off. * The beds were comfortable and the shower worked well with good water pressure abd temperature.. * De Pijp is a lovely neighborhood for walking, light shopping, libations and meals. We enjoyed Pekelhaaring.

I had a very pleasant stay at the Pestana Riverside Hotel in April 2025. The hotel itself is beautiful—stylish, well-maintained, and full of charm. The staff were absolutely amazing: warm, helpful, and always professional, which really made the stay feel special. Breakfast was a real highlight, with a fantastic variety and quality that set us up perfectly for the day. The location is also excellent, with easy walking access to tram stops, making it simple to explore the city. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!
