Park Plaza Vondelpark is a lovely boutique hotel in an upscale neighborhood. It is two blocks away from the spacious Vondelpark, one of the largest in the city. It's also two blocks from the nearest tram stop that leads directly past the major museums and ends at the Centrum, the heart of the city. Everyone on the staff, from the desk clerk to the maintenance person to the restaurant wait staff, were very polite and professional. Both the buffet breakfast and the dinner items were delicious. They have a special steamed and baked cod dish that was tender and delicious. They loan free high-quality umbrellas and rent bicycles. Highly recommended if you prefer a quiet, safe, attracrive neighborhood.
