I lived it. The room was lovely and modernized for such an old building. Location was perfect downtown in the middle of everything. Only issue, be prepared for some steep winding stairs on upper floors. Staff was very kind and handled the luggage.

Very unique boutique style hotel. As with most places of its age the stairs are very narrow and steep and no elevator but the staff was very helpful with luggage!

This is the second time that we have stayed here and just like the first time, it did not disappoint! Staff are so friendly and helpful!! Rooms and clean and have great amenities. Location is perfect and it never feels too busy but it’s also super close to everything you need! Anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Amsterdam, I would recommend this hotel! I am certain that we be back!

The customer service was excellent! Every time we came back to the hotel, it felt like coming home as there was always a welcome and a smile. This is a very old hotel, however, it has been kept up and it was beautiful. I loved the fact that it was right off of the canal. The staff arranged a cab to come to pick us up which was very nice. I was very pleased with this hotel.

We loved this hotel Massimo, was the best host and very kind and considerate with us. He made our stay very special. Super clean, very comfortable bed, nice shower. The only detail is that the stairs are a bit steep, but I think it is a norm in the majority of antique homes in Amsterdam. We will definitely consider this hotel when we come back to Amsterdam Thank you

This small hotel has it all: excellent location, friendly staff, comfortable rooms and a genuine European feel. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by a helpful and friendly front desk clerk. He insisted upon carrying our heavy luggage up the (treacherously-narrow) stairs and walked us through what to expect from the property and the neighbourhood. Our spacious room included enormous windows that looked directly over one of the canals, air conditioning, a Nespresso machine, fridge, large walk-in shower, safe, and plenty of storage. By European standards, it was a pleasantly-large room that featured a king-size bed--something that can be hard to find in Europe--with high quality linens and a mountain of pillows. Although the bathroom products like body wash, soap, and shampoo were luxurious, the towels were not amazing. Full housekeeping service every day was truly appreciated. The neighbourhood was lively with pubs, restaurants, shopping and a tram station a short walk away. This made late nights a bit noisy but given that we were in a vehicle-restricted neighbourhood, it still felt quieter than most European cities. We would definitely stay here again!

Great location on the canal and many restaurants and bars very close. No elevator, but the man in reception was so helpful! He checked our bags and delivered them to our room, and as soon as he saw us leaving, he helped us carry them down. Room noise was minimal, despite several outdoor bars just down the street. Very clean and a unique room arrangement in Room 102-sinks were in the open room, separate areas each for shower and toilet. Very comfortable bedding! Would consider staying here again the next time we are in Amsterdam.

The Hotel Frank is a beautiful small hotel in the heart of Amsterdam. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was nice watching the city through our windows and we were within a short walk to tons of restaurants and bars. The stairs are quite steep. Like most really old hotels, it is definitely not wheelchair accessible as there are no rooms on the main floor. I would highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again if the opportunity arises.

Location- unbeatable. You can walk everywhere. Rooms are very small. Since I travelled by myself it was ok. I paid about $320 / night for a room during midweek. Room was basic and small but quaint. If you have mobility issues/ balance problems staying here will be difficult bc of steep stairs. Staff help you with taking / handling your suitcase. Stairs- steep and narrow like the Dutch style. There is a grocery market nearby. This hotel will workout if location is your priority.
