Had a junior suite - very nice. Clean and plenty of room. Nice little balcony. Very central location. Inside the hotel was nice and staff was outstanding. Outside the property / the side walks are pretty dirty and the area is very busy. Felt safe though. While waiting for our car service outside, the front desk staff kept coming out and checking in with us. She was so nice.

Excellent location. Plenty of restaurants coffee shops, and pastry shops to choose from. Taxis are not allowed on their street so they have to drop you off a block and a half from the property which seems pretty typical in Amsterdam.. it seemed to be overly loud at night about bar closing time and we heard a lot of noise from that at night and it seemed like the garbage trucks and sweepers loved to start up at 7:30 in the morning and you could hear them in the alley making quite a bit of racket.

He enjoyed our stay at the NH collection flower market. One of the reasons we chose it. It's because the hotel was right next-door to the canal and the beautiful flower market that lined the whole street the side street behind the hotel was filled with amazing local restaurants and very accessible to get the tram to go to the various museums. I highly recommend this area because it's less touristy .
