It was a lovely stay. We didn't spend a lot of time in the hotel because we had a lot of things to do and see, but it was a relaxed stay. The room was nice, a good size, and very clean. The room faced the back street, so it was quiet. The bathroom was a good size as well. The soap and shampoo were a little bit diluted, but this is not a major problem. No breakfast was provided, but there are a lot of places around. The staff was nice and very helpful. And the location was just amazing, only walking distance from the city center and canals. So, I would highly recommend it.

It is only a 5-minute walk from the Bus 397 stop, which provides a direct and easy link to and from the airport. ​Prime Location: We loved being within a 10-minute walk of Amsterdam’s main attractions. I was surprised when the hotel insisted that we had to pay city taxes ($8-10) on top of our prepaid room rate when we checked in even though the reservation stated that we had paid for the room in full. The hotel was well kept and staff very friendly and helpful. Very accessible to trams with restaurants around and a grocery. Although my room was very tiny it still was good with comfy bed. My only suggestion is to provide a super absorbent floor mat for the shower to prevent water from going all over the floor. The bathroom floor was all leveled. I would definitely stay at Hotel Espresso again and would recommend to friends and family. Thank you Hotel Espresso!
