A clean room with a balcony. The bed was comfortable. The toilet was shared with another bedroom only. Very respectful. The staff was serviceable and very nice. Excellent location. Very good value for the money. The only inconvenience for certain people could be the steep stairs. I would stay there again.

This hotel was perfect for a solo traveler. The staff was so helpful, the breakfast so cozy, and the hotel is very well located right in front of a tram station, as well as another tram station around the corner. It is very easy to get around from there.

Great option for a budget hotel in Amsterdam. The amenities and the look of the place is not fancy. It occupies the top floors of a building with a grocery store on the ground floor. You need steep stairs to get to the level where the reception is and then more steep stairs to get to the floors with the rooms. The rooms are adequate - we got 2 rooms with their own bathrooms. (I think that the price difference is worth it). The best things about the hotel are the very generous breakfast, the constantly available hot drinks + cookies in the lobby and definitely the location.

Everything was really dirty except for the reception area. As soon as you walk in, the stairs are covered in dust and look like they have never been cleaned. The reception itself was fine, and the staff was very kind. The room had a carpet that smelled bad and was dirty as well. The terrace was full of dust, including the chairs, and one of them was even broken, which almost made me fall. The bathroom was shared, and I thought they would at least clean it every day since it was being used by two rooms, but they did not. The toilet had a strong smell of urine, like it was not cleaned properly, and the drain seemed clogged, so every time you took a shower, the bathroom floor turned into a pool. I had a bad experience and will not be coming back.

I didn’t have breakfast because I missed the time, but it was great that it was offered! I didn’t have luggage, just a backpack, so it was easy for me to get to my room but people with accessibility issues may struggle with the stairs.

Cheap and reasonable comfortable option for stayin in Amsterdam. Nothing dries in the bathroom (not even the mirror). The bed was a bit bumpy, the room very plain. Previous guest's damp towel was still hanging in the room when we came.

Hotel was ok cant fault it for the price 1 plug socket was a little damaged in the room but wasnt an issue for us personally. Private bathroom is veryyyy small so anything is difficult in here for a large person like myself, towels replaced every day and free breakfast provided by hotel cannot complain.

My stay was overall fine. The room was spacious and comfortable. The bed linens and towels looked clean. I stayed for two nights, and during that time, only the trash bin was emptied — the sheets and towels were not changed. The room was a bit cold; there was an extra fan available, but it was quite large, and I didn’t feel like taking it out of the closet. There were only two power outlets in the room, both in inconvenient spots. It’s not possible to use your phone in bed while it’s charging. The bathroom had a slight odor, but it looked clean. Shampoo and shower gel were available at the reception, and there was also a hair dryer and a kettle in the room. If you return to the hotel late at night, you might sometimes see drunk people lying near the entrance. Of course, this is not directly the hotel’s fault, but it was a bit concerning for me. Breakfast was simple but reasonable. The staff were generally polite and helpful. Thank you for their service.

Ugly but comfortable

The minute I walked in I spotted the huge yellow cat meandering the floor. I panicked, I am deathly (epi shot) allergic to cats. Then we were led up the narrow stair case to our room and I nearly cried. Many weeks and seven hotels throughout Europe and this one was UGLY. Think motel 6 1970’s at 40x the cost. But. It was the most comfortable bed and pillow of anywhere we had stayed. The location is amazing. And the desk people were really nice. Four days and I think all the maid ever did was drop clean towels on our beds. And breakfast was so so. The heated milk and cereal milk were always the same luke warm temperatures as each other and evidently, the customers lost their toaster privileges. The pictures look far better than reality.

Fair pick, had some issues but an OK stay.

Firstly, I'll start with the good. Service was friendly, and the continental breakfast was filling. Secondly, in terms of location, this place is right by a tram stop, and above a supermarket. So if you are on a tight budget, that could work for you. In terms of physical access, you will need to be able to get up steep stairs, twice in some cases. If you are disabled in any significant way, this could be a challenge. We got into our room, which was serviceable, but not very clean. The furniture is cheap mdf stuff. Drawers had trash in them from the previous occupant, and the sheets appeared to have nail varnish on them, and little bits of black stuff. We asked for the sheets to be changed, and were told housekeeping had gone home. I said I didn't mind changing the sheets and took a fresh set upstairs. Not ideal, but fine. Towels clean. The TV worked fine, but could not be cast to. If it had had that feature it would have been more useful. The radiators were off when we came in, and we turned these on in the evening on the second day. Without doing this, the room was cold. When they were on, they were linked to a central timer, so we had a couple of hours of heat, and the room was cold again in the morning. There was no hot water, in the shared toilet or in the sink in the room. This is a basic and we were disappointed by this. If you are looking at this hotel due to financial constraints, just be warned you will get what you pay for. Set expectations accordingly.

Great location, super friendly staff. Located above a market, and close to public transportation and bike rental places. The room was very comfortable, I slept great! The stairs are typical Amsterdam stairs, steep and twisty, I wouldn't want to carry a bunch of luggage up or down them! Would certainly stay here again on my next trip to Amsterdam.
