This is in the heart of amsterdam central, 5 mins walk from amsterdam central station. It's very good for going around the area and walking around amsterdam, the rooms were clean and suitable for 3 travellers, showers were fine. The stairs are long and tight, but other than that, no complaints.

Hotel Damrak Inn is conveniently located right next to the train station, canal tours, restaurants, and plenty of shopping. The location could not be better—it’s truly within walking distance of nearly everything you’ll want to see in Amsterdam. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and welcoming. What really stood out, though, was the amazing staff. Every team member we met was personable, helpful, kind, and genuinely fun to talk to, which made our stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to be right in the heart of Amsterdam, with easy access to all the sights and experiences the city has to offer.

Room condition was adequate. Clean and decent storage space for a one night stay. Despite the many reviews warning about the staircase, and despite walking slowly down them, I still slipped and fell down 3-4steps. This caused me to gain 2 big bruises. I felt pain in my arm, leg and foot. Even now 3 days later I still have tenderness in the arm. I was being careful walking slowly but I think the step was quite slippery. I would suggest to be very careful to anyone staying here and ensure to hold on to the railing. Perhaps the hotel should consider some anti-slip guard.

The room was extremely clean and the staff was very helpful. It is right off a very busy main street which made it a bit noisy, but it calmed down at night. It was very easy to walk to and from the train station though.

We booked a 5 person room, and my family and I were happy with it. The rooms are small, but we only planned on sleeping and showering there. The staff were engaged, but also just left you alone. The streets out front can get very loud at night, due to all the tourist chatting out front. So you may want to keep that in mind. The location to canal tours, museums, Red light district starts one street over, Dam Square, coffee shops, is right in the heart of it all. It will be busy on the street, as all tourists walk this area. The hotel is a nice little older gem, and is great for a budget friendly choice. We traveled with two adults, and 3 teenage boys, and it was a great little place to call home for the week. If you are looking for square footage, then this is not the place for you, but if you want a hotel right in the middle of Amsterdam, then take a chance.

Family of four visits Amsterdam,

It was difficult to find. It is literally on small sign next to a Fries shop. We arrived at night and the streets were crowded so we could not see the door. Other reviews weren't lying when they said super steep and narrow stairs. Luckily we travelled with backpacks so we managed okay. No lift/elevator. The room had 5 beds and it was a tight fit. The location is right on Damrak and steps away from Amsterdam Centraal and all the shops and restaurants. This is my 3rd time in Amsterdam and in general their spaces are small. No fridge, but we were able to put our cans on the ledge by the window to chill them since we went during Chirstmas time. They do have a nice coffee machine and teas in the check in desk. Wish they had a lobby for sitting.
