A lovely boutique hotel with friendly staff and lounge spaces with complimentary drinks and snacks in the afternoon in a period building and spacious quiet rooms. Very relaxing and so close to the museums. We’ve been to Amsterdam several times and I would absolutely book this hotel again!

We had an amazing stay at Jan Luyken!!! The common spaces were beautiful, we enjoyed the complimentary amenities including the free drinks, pastries, breakfast and bike rentals. The staff were so kind and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!!

We had an amazing stay, we had a small room which was a good size for two people. The staff were really helpful, I have a gluten intolerance and they provided gluten free bread at breakfast and told me which of the snacks were also gluten free. It was a really lovely, safe area I’d definitely stay here again if I returned to Amsterdam.

Fantastic location for taking in the museums Canal boat trips, and access to public transport. The staff was so kind and friendly and really enjoyable. The breakfast was awesome as were the snacks in the afternoon. Loved the decor and quirky vibe. Overall it was an awesome stay.

We had an amazing experience during our two-week stay! The staff was incredibly attentive, friendly, and always willing to go above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, with a great variety of options, and all of the hotel amenities were excellent. The location was also perfect, very central and convenient, with easy access to public transportation and many museums and attractions within walking distance. It made exploring the city so easy and enjoyable. We truly appreciated the exceptional hospitality throughout our entire stay and would happily return. Highly recommended!

The location is wonderful, and the exterior of the hotel looks very beautiful. However, the room was kind of dingy and smelled like water mold. It was clean enough but that smell was bad.

We have never stayed in a hotel that was so invested in maximizing the guest experience as much as this property and their staff. If you want to visit two unique museums, just a few minutes of walking distance. The hotel’s garden was so beautiful and calming to get rest until your next daily adventure. Lovely breakfast area, basic but scrumptious food. Afternoon appetizers, when you take a break. Generous variety of drinks. Love to came back with my loved ones.

Loved loved this property. The bikes were allocated most days, so do not sleep on grabbing one. Also appreciated the laundry that they allowed me to do free of charge as I stayed at the hotel for 4+ days. The Commons room were warm and inviting and breakfast each morning was fresh and delicious. This is the perfect property if you are willing to bike around the city as it’s not super super central, but was perfect for us.

Our room was so noisy we couldn’t sleep. Staff reluctantly moved us but some had an attitude for the rest of our stay. Paying for the limited free bar and food when you don’t drink is a waste of money. Excellent location and lobby but terrible cancellation policy and very loud rooms.

Loved the whole concept of the own house, where you van take wine from the fridge. Location was perfect. Breakfast tasty. It was nearly 5* experience, but my room (small) had only tiny window, which was very different from the room description.
