Unfortunately, I would not recommend staying at Villa Donna Rachele. The biggest issue was the AC, which was basically nonexistent during a HEAT WAVE. The rooms were extremely uncomfortable. We raised the issue, but maintenance was only offered after I stated that the lack of response would be reflected in my review—and even then, they offered to send someone on the day we were leaving.
There were also ants everywhere, including in the bed. The jacuzzi was dirty, and the shower in the bedroom connected to the bathroom overflowed when used. The TV in the room had no remote and was not connected to the internet like the living room TV, so there was no access to Netflix or other streaming services.
The instructions for the property were also terrible. We didn’t find out until our last day that there is a specific recycling/garbage system depending on the day. The stairway lighting at night is also unsafe, as only a few of the lights actually worked.
Lastly, the location may look like you are saving money compared to a hotel in Amalfi, but what you save you will likely spend on taxis going back and forth to town/sea level.
Overall, get a hotel. I would not stay here again.
