What a lovely hotel in the heart of Amalfi. We had a balcony view of the Duomo from our BATHROOM. Absolutely incredible. The staff were all extremely welcoming. The entrance to the hotel is a little hard to find, and requires some stairs, but they sent detailed instructions, and it's super convenient to get to from the ferry, and is absolutely in the center of the action in Amalfi. And yet, the restaurant upstairs is peaceful and quiet, and serves wonderful food, with an absolutely stunning view of the duomo and all the tourists below. Would definitely recommend, and would stay there again if and when I return to Amalfi.

The hotel’s location is excellent—just a 2-minute walk to the ferry and bus station. It sits right in the heart of Amalfi, surrounded by plenty of restaurants and gelato shops. The only downside was our room on the third floor (Room 301), which was located right at the entrance to the hotel’s restaurant. The noise came from the restaurant rather than the street. Adding a floor divider could help reduce the sound from the restaurant.

We stayed at Terrazzo Duomo in the center of Amalfi. The location is perfect — right in the heart of the Amalfi Coast — and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The hotel was clean overall and a good choice, though not the best compared to what we expected. Our room had beautiful Amalfi tiles, which we loved, but I noticed some dust on the lids of my luggage after standing it on the floor. It made me realize the floor hadn’t been mopped daily — a downside to the otherwise nice presentation. Breakfast was buffet-style but with very little variety, serving the same things every day. It seems common for hotels in the area to stay on the stingy side with amenities. Overall, a decent hotel with a great location and friendly staff, and moderate noise, but there’s room for improvement in cleaning and breakfast.

This was a perfect location for enjoying Amalfi and several other beautiful towns in the area. The hotel was clean, accommodating, and provided all that we needed. Breakfast was served in a lovely rooftop room and provided many delicious options.

The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was very clean and the views were great! They also let us keep our luggage with them way after check out. I would suggest ear plugs though as it’s quite noisy at all hours.

I found the property position extremely pleasent since Terraza Duomo is in front of Amalfi Dome and in the middle of this really beautiful city; moreover the restaurant view is absolutely fascinating. Staff is really kind and helpful

The location is absolutely convenient and in the middle of the downtown. From the distance either by ferry or bus, you can easily spot (especially for first timers) where to find the location by looking up the tower of the Basilica Cathedral of Amalfi. It is right across it. That’s just one part, the other part is the wonderful staff accommodation (look for Rita, I think her last name is: the Best). Very helpful and usually accommodate in all reasonable requests. I would book there again if I’m back in Amalfi.

Good, not great.

Small bedroom. Nice handpainted tiling all over the hotel. The room gets very humid very quickly, without ventilation - that was unpleasant. Nice breakfast room. Pleasant service.

A romantic find for couples with nice views

While this hotel has nice views on the cathedral side, it is a bit noisy due to the rooms being located right above the piazza. Rooms are a bit small and you can also hear some noise fro the hallway, it's a great location in a wonderful city (very walkable and easy to find/get to). The restaurant on site is good for dinner, breakfast needs more choices than what they have to offer, considering the high price here. That said, still a solid choice in Amalfi for couples.

EXCEPTIONAL restaurant, noisy room.

The hotel has an EXCEPTIONAL restaurant with a gorgeous view and the dining experience is GREAT. Highly recommend the restaurant. We had a room with view to the Duomo and it was marvelous. Downside of it, the room was very noisy and we were not able to sleep at all. The loud noises coming from outside did not stop for a second the whole night. The service was excellent and the whole staff was extremely friendly.

Best views of the Duomo

The hotel has an excellent location just opposite the Duomo and you have breakfast with the best views. Staff were helpful and friendly (providing charging for phones at breakfast, keeping luggage after check out), so the low score is not a reflection on their work. Low scores for condition and comfort due to: - smell of blocked drain in the room every time we entered the room - emergency key holder alarm inside room and emergency light inside room was turned on automatically as we had a power cut between midnight and 7am on the 2nd night. It was impossible to turn either off until they both ran out of power some 3 hours later despite the staff trying to do so. Alarm became louder and more frequent so it was impossible to sleep until after 3am. While the power cut is not the hotel's fault, the functioning of the alarm is and it was very unpleasant in the circumstances, preventing anywhere near a good night's sleep. Plus it looked like it was a planned power cut based on online information so they could have informed us ahead of time to make preparations.

Our stay was good overall, the location is very strategic and it’s close to everything including the port and bus stations. The staff was very nice and helpful in the reception. The room was clean and spacious. Although the shower was extremely small and the water pressure was bad. The ac was not strong and would not go lower than 25. Okay but a bit warm. The room was right next to the restaurant and there was a lot of noise until quite late at night because of this. The view from the restaurant was great but the breakfast felt quite mediocre. Not bad but also not that interesting. Also a lot of steps to reach the hotel and inside the hotel to go up to our room. Not a problem for us but could be for others. Happy with our stay overall

Amalfi is beautiful. Italy is amazing. This hotel is in a great location. But! It should be known the AC doesn’t work and there is a restaurant that is VERY LOUD on the 3rd floor that closes around 12:30-1 a.m. Don’t accept a room that is on the same floor as the restaurant…you will not sleep. If you are a heavy sleeper (or curious about the inter-workings of a restaurant) go for it. I had to go into the hall twice to make sure everything was ok as restaurant staff were yelling. Around 12:30 a.m. I almost got out of bed to help restaurant staff finish up so I could sleep (lots of noise). Not much you can do, I get that people have to work. Hotel staff declined a partial refund and were unable to offer another room (fully booked so I understand). Reading reviews others mention the AC and noise…should have done more research but we thought it was a great price for Amalfi. Hotel is in a great spot, they just should not put people in the two rooms on the third floor. You are getting a cheap room but giving up needed vacation sleep. The amount of kitchen noise feels like you are actually IN the kitchen. Italy is excellent! Enjoy it, we didn’t have a great experience with this hotel in the summer heat with the noise.
