“The hotel is not inspiring on the outside but is well situated for trains, buses and travel to the Isle of Wight. It has the feel of a run-down hotel which is in the process of being up-graded by the present owners. My room had comfortable beds and a newly fitted bathroom but the windows could only be opened a small way as they were blocked by a fire escape staircase immediately outside. “The hotel and the pub are very tired and in desperate need of rlc and upgrade/refurb. Stains on everything from floors to ceiling. Chairs in the room and the bar that should be in the bin. The cleaners do a great job but the whole place needs dealing with. Green King you are better than this. ”
