Nestled in the hills surrounded by lush greenery, the Alver Hotel was our base for kayaking in the spectacular fjords. We stayed in an updated cabin that was well equipped with the basic necessities, including an in unit washer and dryer. Our stay includes a delicious breakfast buffet each morning. If possible I would give a sixth star for the friendly staff who went the extra mile to make our stay pleasant and memorable.

Great staff. Friendly and responsive! Rooms were very warm on the 3rd floor, so I had the heat off and an open window most of the week (in January!). The split mattresses were a but cumbersome and one side kept falling off the side of the bed....but they were comfortable. Breakfast was overall good but no fresh salmon (laks....which I love!) like other hotels, despite their location near the fjords. Overall, 9/10 experience. Thank you!!

An event center NOT a hotel

This is not close to Bergen and by the time you pay for tolls for the bridges it is cheaper to stay near airport or closer to down town. The staff did their best but 1 person working sunday as checkout, cook and waiter and busboy was not fair to the poor guy. Room was dirty with no soap coming out of dispenser. Floor had not been vacuumed and dead bug carcasses under bed. Bed was a coverlet over a wood board and room smelled musty so difficult to sleep. They ran out of food at breakfast, OJ and Coffee out until the poor guy refilled it all Only a handful of guests and they couldn't handle it. Very hard to find.

Helt greit hotel.

Helt greit opphold. Mangler aircondition, så det ble litt varmt. Stort og fint rom, men uten noe i kjøleskapet, og som alltid i Norge, ingen vannkoker. Frokosten var bra, og betjeningen var hyggelig nok.

Denne positive opplevelsen er nok mest påvirket av de fantastiske folken som eg møtte der. Når en samles til hyggelig lag, blir ofte omgivelsene der etter. Men hotellet er bra det uansett.

2 nedsittete loungestoler fra 80 tallet som var usannsynlig flekkete. Potetgull og piller under senga. Ingen vanntrykk... knapt så man kunne dusje. Heisen glapp.. så den var bare skummel i tillegg til hullete tepper. Frokostsalen var en opplevelse i seg selv. Man følte brått at man var i Baltikum med overdådige bretter på duker.. men et elendig utvalg og ost var helt svett og brie var gul. Tomt for juice. Trenger et skikkelig løft
